Mad Max is one of the most underrated open-world games out there. At first glance, it feels like a simpler version of the Batman Arkham formula. The combat is clearly inspired by those games, and some of the open-world activities follow a familiar structure. But the more you play, the more you realize that Mad Max has its own personality. The biggest difference is the atmosphere. The wasteland feels brutal, lonely, and hostile. Everything revolves around survival, scavenging, and building your car into an unstoppable machine. Unlike many open-world games, your vehicle isn't just transportation—it's the heart of the entire experience. The car combat is fantastic. Upgrading the Magnum Opus, finding new parts, and turning it into a monster of the wasteland is incredibly satisfying. Some of the best moments in the game happen during high-speed chases and explosive battles across the desert. The story isn't groundbreaking, but it fits the Mad Max universe perfectly. The world itself does most of the storytelling, and the atmosphere carries the experience from start to finish. Yes, the game can become repetitive at times, especially if you're trying to clear every icon on the map. But the gameplay is so fun that I rarely minded.
UAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I have heard of this game a ton, of being very underrated. I will say, the start was very slow for me. But once I really got into the story and the mission requirements stop being annoying, I loved it. I am up at 3AM writing this as I just finished it. The combat is like the batman games, and there aren't a ton of animations but its fun. 8/10
insane banger, ironically the definitive depiction of Max and the MAD MAX story/themes as well
this gmae is mad.
