For what this game is, the price is good. I wasn't a big fan of the story in this game, as it felt quite fast paced but the gameplay was fun. If you enjoy games like Days Gone - Farcry Primal - Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, where you essentially destroy camps and regain the land for the people while lowering the enemies influence, mixed in with the Batman Arkham/Spider-Man combat counter system then this is certainly a game you can enjoy. I did encounter a few bugs but other than that and the story just being mediocre, it was an enjoyable experience, with car and player cosmetics, weapon and combat upgrading, raiding hideouts or just racing. I would recommend this game

excellent open world game, if not one of the best. the discount price is laughable for what you get in this game. Voice acting: 10/10 Characters: 9/10 Chum Bucket: 10/10 Open World design: 10/10 Graphics: 7/10 Still holds up very well Story: 5/10 nothing special imo, in this brutal and simple life world you dont expect the deepest story. It fits the tone. What really stands out is the world itself. Every single location, from the tiniest scrap pile to the largest stronghold, feels unique. Not once was i thinking "have i been here before" because literally every location is and feels handcrafted. One downside to that though, some locations you will not find the last scrap piece or whatever if you want to complete the camp. SO incredibly difficult to find sometimes :-P Open world bloat exists, but feels mostly dynamic because you dont get 500 quests like "my horse/uncle/wife got kidnapped/stolen/killed and you have to go to that place to kill/retreive/free this thing". The typical Ubisoft Chore-list just isnt there - very refreshing. I dont think i will 100% this game because there is some tediousness at the end. Would recommend this game to anyone who remotely likes Mad Max and open world games. top game. mod i would recommend: Easy minefield - makes the minefields just way less tedious. they are still annoying, but at least you can just drive up to them. without the mod you have to switch to a random car which has the dog in it, and then you drive up to the minefield and the dog barks and unveils the mines. absolute cancer. i did it 3 times and then got the mod.
As if by design, Mad Max is itself a remnant of a better era, back when games were built with the passion and detail that only come from a competent studio, management, and genuine love for the genre. 22.7 hours of fun for the story and some side stuff. Plenty more for completionists. Enjoyed throughly on the LG 5k2k thanks to good optimization. Got it on Steam for 3€.
