We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Very enjoyable game unfortunately not given the time to shine by warner bros.
It’s Mad Max - Now with 1000% More Grind!
Launched on the exact same day as Metal Gear Solid V back in 2015, Mad Max was largely overlooked at release and written off by critics as just a “generic open-world collectathon”… which it is! But over the last decade, it has built a strong cult following as one of the ultimate "comfort games" of the 2010s.
The Wasteland & Atmosphere
The graphics hold up remarkably well for a 2015 game, especially when dynamic sandstorms sweep across the map to wreak absolute havoc. The atmosphere is further enhanced by a day/night cycle that actively shifts the danger: standard Roadkill and Scrotus' War Boys roam the roads by day, while the far more terrifying Buzzards take over at sunset.
The Magnum Opus & Car Combat
Vehicular gameplay is where this game truly shines. Transforming the ‘Magnum Opus’ from a stripped-down chassis into an all-out war machine is deeply satisfying. Whether you’re harpooning tires, blowing up fuel tanks, or hunting down convoys, having your hunchbacked mechanic Chumbucket blast rockets at "infidels" (in Chum’s words) while screeching holy praise to the “combustion engine gods” is easily a highlight of the game.
On-Foot Combat & Brawling
When you step out of the car, Mad Max "borrows" the free-flowing combat system straight from the Batman: Arkham series. However, it swaps out Batman's smooth martial arts precision for raw, brutal, back-alley street-fight violence. The brawling really packs a punch, featuring everything from arm bars to suplexes while also featuring shiv takedowns and of course point-blank shotgun blasts.
The Bad: The Grind & Map Bloat
Where the game stumbles most is its pacing. Like most open-world games from that era, by the 15-hour mark the loop of destroying scarecrows, clearing sniper towers, and sniffing out landmines gets painfully repetitive. The story itself is paper-thin, and the campaign routinely halts your progression until you grind enough scrap to buy mandatory car upgrades or clear regional threat levels for the local strongholds. Without all that padding, this would easily be a tight 10 to 15-hour game. As it stands, you're looking at 40 to 60+ hours, especially if you're trying to clear all the ‘Legend’ challenges without relying on a guide.
Performance & Optimization
The PC port is phenomenal. It ran flawlessly on low-to-mid-tier hardware back in 2015 and runs at maximum settings effortlessly on modern systems today.
The Verdict
While this is not a masterpiece, it is a solid 7/10 open-world playground loaded with fun upgrades for both Max and his ride. It’s a great game to play casually, but a total nightmare for completionists. My advice? Buy it on sale, drive fast, punch hard, and don't feel obligated to 100% the game, unless of course you’re a masochist like me.
