MACROSS -Shooting Insight-

This is not a very easy shoot-em-up (shmup) to get used to. I would suggest adjusting controls where you are most comfortable playing and turning on Automatic Regeneration (Boost seems to work the best). Once you get the hang of the weaknesses and strengths of each Valkyrie, you can adjust your playstyle to focus more on missiles or gunpod. Currently, there's no English translation, but there are guides out there and it can be pretty easily figured out. As for the DYRL DLC, I don't think you can get it through steam unless maybe you use a VPN. With that, you're missing out on playing HIkaru and there's a level or two centered around the OG Macross series. You aren't missing much, but if you're a purist, you are missing it. The game itself isn't great. It fails on a lot of things (I personally don't like that it doesn't have full songs and features only snippets from each series). If you're an OG Macross fan, I will say stick to the SEGA AM2 Playstation 2 SDF Macross game. For more of the SHMUP variety, there are several out there, but my favorite is still Macross DYRL for either PS1 or Saturn. This one is fun enough to go through a few times, but I don't see it lasting on anyone's favorite game shelf for long. Hopefully, this will be a start in the right direction for the franchise. It needs a resurgence badly. I will recommend the game only for true Macross fans. SHMUP fans can find better games elsewhere.

Espere este juego por mucho tiempo. Me decepcionaron desde los gráficos hasta la jugabilidad. Fácilmente pudo ser un juego gratuito para movil, porque eso parece.

$40 might be more than its worth tbh. i'd say more around $25-$30 so in my mind im pay that extra bit as a premium for the first officially Licensed Macross game to be worldwide and im fine with that. game itself plays well, i like it. game is smooth, you dont need to know japanese to play and if you want to understand the main menu a little bit just do what i did and pull out google translate camera on your phone app. my only complaint is there is one particular POV that is uncomfortable but thankfully its only used like 3 times and for very small parts of the mission. i'd say if you love macross and are ok with paying a premium to get this, if you want to wait until there is a sale i also think that is fine. i give this game a 6 or 7 out of 10. slightly above avg because the music as expected is awesome lol good way to pass the time when you want to take a break from your more serious or competitive games.

Played with only 8GB RAM and lower graphic card than minimum recommended, with no problems. First official Macross game in the West. Love to find out all the series' details included. Like playing with detailed series planes, official music in the middle of the stages (you have to unlock them), images collection, planes 3D models with tranformations at will, beautiful space backgrounds, characters voices all the time. Also, lots of difficulty options, including a "very easy" setting, which is a walk in the park experience. Planes have smooth animation. Multiple game styles give the game more variety: more fun!. A really fun game, perhaps a bit more for Macross fans. I am sure it will be a better experience when English language support comes, will love to read the collections items descriptions then. Please bring previous Macross games too!. UPDATE: at long last, English patch is here. The game is so much better now. Nice to understand so much now.

破到靠背，我真的不敢相信這是2024年的遊戲，就只把歷代歌放進一個破到不能再破的打飛機遊戲，沒中文能忍大不了打個補丁，阿結果連2k120hz都不能調最高只能1080p60hz，這已經不是粉絲向的作品了，這已經是燃燒我們對這個ip的愛了，建議設備還12400 3060?確定這真的是一款2024年出的次世代多平台的遊戲?

It's a very straight forward game. Shoot/dodge. You cannot transform at will - it's level/mission specific. The soundtrack and audio are excellent. Visuals are average. There is no support over 1080p via the game itself. Despite the flaws and lack of overall content. I've enjoyed this game and am hoping for the DLC to come to the USA. I don't recommend paying full-price unless you're a hardcore Macross fan like I am. Wait for it to go on sale. $40 is a lot for the limited game-play and content the game currently offers.

8/10 Soy un gran fan del anime y he jugado varios de sus titulos hechos por Bandai, en lo que este titulo es muy divertido si eres fan de los Hellbullets (Lluvia de Balas). Asi que, por lo que llevo jugado, se me hace muy entretenido pero por 400 pesos.... No lo se. Yo diria que lo compres si eres fan del anime y si te gusta este tipo de juegos.

Terribile, neppure tradotto in inglese. Ripetitivo, monotono, noioso, tutto uguale, soldi buttati. Non comperatelo è un disastro di gioco.
