Mechs. I like Mechs. Since i was a Child. In the beginning there were Transformers and then, then came Battletech. But i also love Mechs outside the Battletech/Mechwarrior Universe. And thats why i like playing Mech Games. Like this one. Welcome to MACHINE ARMOR ZERO! First. This Game is EARLY ACCESS, there is much more to come. Second. I´m sorry, dear Readers, this Time there are no Screenshots, is momently not supported. So, let´s have a look. MACHINE ARMOR ZERO is an Action Roguelike Mechshooter. It´s Mech against Aliens. Old Story, but still works. In the Beginning you have one Mech. There are 3 other in DLC´s, in the End this Game momently has 4. Before you go on Missions, you can choose Upgrades and Tech. Upgrade costs Credits. You gain them on your Missions and you will still own it after your Death. So you come back stronger, every time. That rises the Replayability very high. You know: Learning by dying. Tech´s are very useful Perks, but each has positive Effects, but also negative Effects. Choose them wisely. After that, choose your Weapon. Well and here we have the Luck Factor. You can choose one of three, but every Time you start, there can be others. If you have a favourit Weapon like me (Gattling Gun), then you can Reroll up to 3 Times to get a worthy Weapon. After that you go into your Missions. Controlling this Mech reminds me of the Classic Mega Drive Game BATTLETECH. With the Keyboard you move your Mech, with the Mouse you Fire your Weapons in every Direction. The Game is in isometric View and has nice old school like Graphics. Ammo is limited, but if you pause shooting it will slowly reload. You can also dash and more. As said before: Learning by dying. Find your own style. The Game is surely pure Fun and i like it. Yes, it feels momently a little bit ... uncompleted. I think what i miss is a Story. But hey, it is Early Access, i´m patient. The Game is going into the right Direction and the Dev is working hard on it and is also listening to the Feedback of the Players, what i really appreciate. I´m excited for what is coming Thanks for the Invite. And thank YOU for reading. [h1][url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/26335619-Adult-World-Gamers/] You like this Review? You want more? A great mecha game in the style of good ole diablo in my opinion. Worth every dollar! I am looking forward to where this one goes, It has TONS of potential and the Dev listens to us thats Always good. It's in EA so theres sure to be plenty more to come.
**Early Access Launch day impressions** So, how is it looking so far? Love it! A little over an hour into it, and even with the unfortunate bit of time wasted fiddling around, getting my controller to act like a keyboard/mouse (I’m hoping developers will eventually start to realize that the people who prefer a controller are equally important to sales) that I only really have 1 major gripe! The HUD takes up too much screen real estate, if the devs can change it to the Mech slowly changing color to a flashing bright red before death, and ammo numbers to the left/right of your mech (also flashing red when near empty), that would be great! -It’s difficult in a good way, looks to have lots of unlockables, you can zoom in or out, and I just can’t wait to see what the future holds for the game and the developers next titles!
Is this game fun? Yes. Is this game good? Not even close. This is a weird one. I'm a sucker for mechs and sci fi so after playing around with the fairly broken demo I decided that $7 was worth a gamble and picked up the main game. First thing to note, the demo is NOT representative of the full game. It's clearly a few versions behind and oddly has way worse performance. Back to the main game. The start menu greets you with your 1 unlocked character and 3 DLC characters. Not a strong start to see rogue-like progression behind a paywall, even if the developer did change it so that the characters are just cosmetic. The rest of the progression systems are standard. Buy perma upgrades with stuff you earn during runs, level up for weapon and perk choices. You know the routine and there doesn't appear to be anything new here. Actually playing the game kind of sucks though. Weapons either hit like wet tissues or have a range that basically makes them melee weapons. As an example, the flamethrower. A classic short range weapon. I picked up an upgrade that created explosions on hit and was shocked to find out that the explosions had a larger radius than my flamethrower's max range. Except for when the explosions just don't work. There's been many times where enemies in the center of the visuals of an explosion take no damage, and some random bugs further out do. The missile and blaster weapons both provide consistent examples of this. Add on to that a weird ammunition system and you will run into a point fairly quickly where the entire screen is filled with enemies that you aren't damaging. There's more. Like the overall lack of feedback for anything you're doing, enemy variety totaling like 4 or 5 units, poor wording on stat and weapon effects, map edge not being shown and just vibrating your like a paint mixer when you run into it. It feels bad and has no business being in EA yet. Maybe in another year I'll circle back if this hasn't been abandoned.
Similar to Vampire Survivors, but a bit more set up for active shooting/play. Not quite as large in scope, but plenty of content even in the early access period (July 30, 2024 as of writing), to keep you entertained for a good bit of hours.
This little indie shooter is crazy fun! I can't stop playing. So far as an early access title, the framework for an amazing game is already there. I'm very excited to see this project develop and hope to see it successful! There's a little jank to get used to, but I've actually come to find it charming (like the movement animations for example), and some of the ability modifiers aren't very clear, but the developer has been making progress. He so far has fixed bugs quickly which is wonderful to see! Great job so far, Midnight! I can't wait for more!
This is really fun, especially for the price. The feel of it has its own take on the roguelite survivors style games out there. Cool weapons, pretty good controls and a good challenge. It doesn't really work on the steam deck in handheld mode right now, but it is purely from a controller standpoint. I will edit this out of my review if this changes in future updates. I will test the game on my steam deck as updates come out.
将来的にどうなるかは不明だが、現状は特筆すべきことがないVSライク。 尚、全部で4体のロボがいるが使用するには有料DLC購入の必要あり。 いくらなんでも高すぎるだろう。
Can't change keybind
Well its like a game a college student would make then abandon after the class got over. The robot art is neat I guess? But ya, there is no reason to play this game now days. If a lot of work was done on it maybe... but as it stands its not done, wont be done.... and really DLC? The game is not done and it has locked content?
