Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 20 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
The developers definitely understand the subject matter. Incredibly, gut-twistingly portrayed, and exactly as long as it needed to be. Cathartic, too - thank you for that choice at the end.

Short, artsy story game, about the looming monster that alcoholism can become to the children of the alcoholic's family. At first I was a little bit torn whether to call this good or meh, but after a consideration, I'm tilting toward good. The reason is that the initial blast is not exactly subtle. It's a very heavy game about very real social issues and doesn't pull punches on that front, so much so that after initial impressions I was wondering if the game already revealed its hand. But luckily not - despite the unsubtle start, the story does have its high points, particularly towards the end! I think the writing and imagery is more memorable than what the beginning would let you believe. The game is very short, but I don't really hold it that much against it, the sub-5€ price feels right. Overall, pretty nice! ...as nice as games with this heavy subject matter can be, at least.
Lydia is not so much a game but a walking simulator. It's an emotional roller coaster with themes of: substance abuse, neglect, victim-hood, and many more but I don't want to spoil. The creators call it an emotional visual novel which fits cause you are essentially locked an a linear path of characters talking, walking and more characters talking. The characters speak gibberish sound effects (Banjo Kazooie style) and I did find it a little annoying after awhile just a little. There are only 4 puzzles I counted in the game and they are very straight forward. It's all about narrative here, I've lost count at how many Indie titles I've played where I was left disappointed: Dear Ester, The path, Gone Home, Fire watch. Trust me this is one of the better stories told that wasn't pretentious and costs over 10 bucks. This one is priced just right; be warned It deals with some tough subject matter, I wouldn't recommend anyone with depression play it. If I have to critique the game, I find it's artwork to be amateurish. I know this is an Indie game with a small budget and it is passable, but most of the designs look like a highschooler with an interest in art drew them and still had a ways to go. This game gets a recommendation it's rightly priced, knows what it is, and is one of the better narrative driven games I played.
Where to start...it wouldn't be accurate to say that Lydia is a visual novel. Even though it is mostly about the story and reading, there are minor actions and movements in between. It's as if you're playing out the scenes that tell a sad and relatable story. There isn't too much text, it's well paced that it doesn't feel tiring to read. I wasn't sure about the game at the beginning but things kept building up, the last 2 chapters were the highlight. The art style is dark and striking, I can tell it's made by the same developer behind Voltage High Society. The different sounds are also strong. The dialogues in English are well written. When it comes to cons, the first one is obvious. The game doesn't start due to the game's age. Luckily, there is an easy guide to follow on steam forum. It took minutes to fix it. Secondly, there is no controller support. Steam's templates don't seem to work either. The buttons are minimal, it would have been the ideal game with a controller but I did it with the mouse mostly. I like the game, it might not set the world on fire but its story is raw and emotional. We need more such personal stories in games. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to spend an hour on a mature and realistic story. The price of less than 3 euros is appropriate and it's nice that it can be gotten for less than 1.5 euros with the current sale. There is only one achievement that requires you to complete the game and watch the credits until the end.
