Lycanthorn II is 3D homage to games of old. You play as Rain, a Vampire Hunter, on her quest to slay Nosferatu.

Güzel bir oyun
I do not think I can stress enough just how much I ADORE this game. I've played through both 1 and 2 seperately 3 times now, my third being on the Steam Deck. This is an incredibly fun, perfectly executed transition of classic Castlevania to 3D, while 2 isn't linear, it's a small hub that I love going through and still plays closer to an NES Castlevania. This game was an immediate reccomendation to all my friends and I hoped they all liked it as much as I did. Okay byebye.
this games vibe and art style are legendary. can't believe it's free!
play it for the atmosphere, that's its best quality. the music is alright if derivative, the gameplay has some questionable design and quality. i played both campaigns and it took a little under 2 hours to finish both of them combined. there's no talking to anyone or buying from a shop, just slash and shoot with the different characters you get. it's really cool conceptually, the execution is pretty basic though. if you've ever wanted to walk through an NES Castlevania or Zelda game, this does that ok. I'd recommend a guide, though i didn't use one and it's totally beatable without one, but i did wander around a bit. oh and just cheat the final bosses of the first game, you're not missing anything crazy gameplay wise, i stopped counting how many hits the second form of that boss took after 100, but i think it was above 200 total hits.
great game, hoping 4 a sequel
I've completed this game and I must say I really liked it. Even if some of elements seem unpolished or could be more developed, the aesthethics and monsters' design made this game worth playing. It's pretty hard mix of Doom and Metroidvania-type games and everything works pretty well. I would love to see more of the universe where werewolves hunt down vampires and their minions. Some monsters reminded me of Berserk, and 8/16-bit era graphics work here pretty well. Maybe there should be smaller hordes of monster, (spawning was pretty annoying sometimes) maybe there should be more dialogues that add depth to the game...but for a free game, I reccomend this one wholeheartedly. (but really armored werewolf is so damn good idea!)
