LVL99: AxeRage is a gratuitously violent 2D action platformer inspired by the iconic pop culture of the 80s and 90s. With brute force, a little supernatural intervention, and a RADioactive dog, players must free Earth from unrelenting hordes of aliens, robots, and zombies, oh my.

This game has potential, but it needs to fix a few things to make it better such as the knock back is too intense that if you are too close the entrance to an area and you get touched you fly back resetting the area you came from. There are few too many save point and the lack of a mini map or map at all keeps you struggling to remember where certain things are. There is no option to change audio, video and control settings, also there is literally no option to exit the game and the leveling has no purpose whats so ever as there is no stat screen or stats the visually increase. The game play is tough yet fun the platforming has a few issues as the controls are not as responsive as you need making many missed jumps lead to death making you start over from the few and far in between save points and check points. as the current state I cannot recommend the game myself.
(Got this game for free courtesy of the developer's submission to SteadyGiveaways. Thanks!)
Doesn't quite feel like it's Level 99...not yet at least.
Long story short, the world's ended and the only thing you have at your disposal is an axe. In a nutshell, Level 99 Axe Rage seems like a combination of Mega Man and your basic Metroidvania titles. There's quite a bit to explore, but don't let the great graphics fool you, it's pretty rough and is designed for controller players, rather than keyboard players. (It's possible to play with a controller, but it's more difficult to do so) As I just said, the graphics look great and the gameplay is challenging...though I wouldn't say it holds a flame to Cuphead in those departments (not that I've played it). But I will say that it's well-suited for the label of NES hard as often supplied by Konami titles...Of course, the platforming can be as difficult as in Mega Man X. So...worth your time? I'd say to check it out. It's $15, but doesn't feel like it's worth less than $10. Of course, if it's on sale for $5 or $7.50, then it would be a downright steal. Definitely worth looking into if you're looking for a retro Metroidvania set in an Apocalypse setting. It's clearly a labor of love. 8/10 Hack and Slash with your Level 99 Axe!

Titolo promettente ma
incompleto
This game is fun :)
