Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Think a simpler version of axis and allies with only two units (three if you count forts/factories). The variety in maps and AI types is the key to this game's longevity. You basically have three types of AI for each difficulty level that perform just differently enough to keep things fresh. The two different unit types, infantry and cavalry have enough differences to make their usage compelling from a strategic perspective; even better, you'll constantly be surprised at how the AI exploits your gaps even when you know exactly how a given one plays (because there are three of them). Great fun! Highly entertaining.
Strategy: This is a good game. The simultaneous turns make for some interesting dynamics. It's a lot like risk, but simultaneous turns and lack of bonus cards makes it less volatile but less dynamic. Presentation: Not great. But once you start playing, you don't really notice. Content: A variety of Fun maps and scenarios, and decent AI. Verdict: Good for the price, especially on sale, but not a must have. If you want a Risk-like game to play, buy it.

Set all of the auto-adjust screen/video settings to "on." That should help with the jittery visuals. Otherwise it's a great twist on Risk/Lux. Edit: Nevermind. I can't believe they allowed a mechanic where opposing forces can just pass through each other instead of engaging in combat. Example: Map has 2 spaces: your space, my space. We each have 10 troops. All of my troops attack your space, all of your troops attack my space. Armies wave to one another in passing as they go to conquer the other's base. Rinse and repeat? Why...just why.
Custom Maps have been down for months.
Excellent for casual quick fun. Just a little more in depth than regular lux/risk. If you like Risk you will almost definitely enjoy Alliance. As you can see by my hours played, definitely worth the money.
I opened this briefly after downloading without even playing, and returned to find that it had somehow logged time past the "non-refundable" period. Hope I like it.
Risk-like game. A bit wonky to learn in the beginning. Decent enough.
What if Axis and Allies were more simple and had broken multiplayer/achievements and unresponsive devs?
Simple game, simple rules, complex strategies. Well worth it.
Even better than Lux Delux (which I liked the heck out of). Tons of historical maps to play on. It's a bit like Risk, except that it *doesn't* suck. Great fun!
