About

Luna's Room is a point-and-click exploration experience set in an unsettling and enigmatic room where every object carries meaning. As you interact with them, you will slowly piece together a story told through atmosphere, symbolism and emotional resonance.
This is a game about introspection. About the weight of small things.
You don’t fight enemies. You don’t solve complex puzzles.
You observe and interpret.
And slowly, you start to understand Luna.

The title definitely fits the game, since the entire story takes place inside a single room and follows a young girl named Luna. Unfortunately, the room itself feels completely unsuitable for a child. It looks more like some kind of basement than a place where a little girl should be living. Luna is innocent and completely unaware of what’s really happening around her, and the only company she has is her cat, who suddenly begins to talk. Gameplay is similar to a standard point-and-click adventure. You use the mouse to search the screen for interaction points, with the right mouse button used to examine objects and the left button performing the default action depending on the hotspot. Both buttons usually trigger different comments from Luna, so it’s worth trying each one to get extra details and bits of dialogue. Since the entire game is confined to a single room, though, the experience is very short and fairly easy. Some areas and interactions are unavailable at first, but the number of hotspots is small enough that you can quickly test everything with both mouse buttons and any items you collect. Most items are picked up immediately, while some interaction points only become useful after learning more about them. This often happens after the guardian appears, a strange deer-like creature that shows up several times to push the story forward. Also, the cat is surprisingly talkative and occasionally gives hints or guidance of its own. Progress mainly revolves around classic item combinations, either between inventory objects or environmental hotspots. Because the number of possible interactions is limited, experimenting rarely becomes frustrating, and it’s unlikely you’ll stay stuck for long. There’s only one proper puzzle involving a number combination, and even that is very simple. The premise and overall story are interesting, even if the game ends just as things start getting more intriguing. It feels like the kind of concept that could have been explored much further in a longer experience. Both endings can easily be seen in a single playthrough thanks to the multiple save slots, which is also helpful for unlocking achievements tied to using certain items on specific hotspots. Some of these can be missed if you used the item already.
A short story-focused point'n'click adventure. The whole game takes place in one room, puzzles are simple and logical. Pixel art and animations are high quality although scarce (again: one room), storytelling emotional and there's a bit of pretty good music with vocals, especially if you like rock. A pleasant way to spend one short evening (1-1.5 hours) for a perfectly reasonable price. Also a good place to start for those who have never played a point'n'click game and would like to try. It's too simple for you to get stuck and too short for you to get bored.
Objectively:
8.3/10
Next time you hear someone say you can't tell a compelling story in just half an hour, show them this game. Lovely pixel art too, looking forward to seeing what the dev comes up with next.
Very short but very interesting game with surprisingly dark vibe. I enjoyed it a lot and recommend to point click games fans.
