About
Environmental collapse has plunged the world into darkness.
Six chosen girls perform music to generate Luminous, a mysterious energy of light.
The project to illuminate the world through music begins now.
Luminous Project is a casual rhythm game designed for both beginners and experienced players.
The challenge of this game is not the speed of incoming notes.
Players must visually recognize the notes appearing on screen, mentally map them to keyboard inputs, and execute precise simultaneous key presses.
Success depends not only on reflexes, but on perception, recognition, and accurate input control.
See. Think. Press.
Experience a new style of keyboard performance where vision, cognition, and action become one.
Designed with accessibility in mind, the game offers a wide range of difficulty levels so even rhythm game newcomers can play comfortably.
The simple key-press gameplay allows players to naturally improve their skills over time.
At the same time, challenging multi-key simultaneous inputs create unique gameplay that tests coordination and decision-making rather than pure speed.
The game includes 120 songs in total.
Each character features music from different genres, providing a diverse musical experience.
Controls are simple:
Press the corresponding keys in time with the falling notes.
Two types of notes appear:
Tap Notes
Hold Notes
Maintain long combos by avoiding mistakes.
Clear a song by achieving 80% completion, and aim for a Full Combo (100%) by mastering each chart.
Every song includes three difficulty settings:
Easy / Normal
Accessible modes suitable for beginners or casual players.
Hard
Designed for experienced players, featuring highly challenging charts.
We recommend starting with Hard difficulty.
Customize the experience to match your play style:
Timing Adjustment
Fine-tune note timing if audio and notes feel out of sync.
Customizable Key Bindings
Default layout uses six keys: S / D / F / J / K / L
Skip Mode
Jump directly to later sections of a song to practice difficult parts.

Reviews
Okay, I want to preface that while I don't necessarily recommend this game I also don't wanna write it off entirely. I am, at the time of writing this review, still capable to refund but I won't. I plan to play this more and keep it. I am still choosing to not recommend it due to its flaws, though. First of all the characters are clearly AI generated art. Now, I don't care as characters isn't really what I play a rhythm game for anyway. But, I just feel they could have put in some effort to fix up the art a bit after generating it. This is what I do for OCs I create (I am a roleplayer). And considering they use this art for profit and not even personal use like I do, the fact they put in less effort, is a pretty bad look. The game offers 120 songs in total which is a good library. All songs I've played so far and browsed through, are ones I've never heard. They're likely royalty free, I am not sure, but the good thing is that most of them sound pretty pleasant and I like that they're not very well known to me. Cuz after 120 diff rhythm games or so, it is nice not to run into the same songs most of them use, over and over again. (Though I can never grow tired of Brainpower LOL) The charting seems okay if not a little too easy even on hard mode. The playing field is a bit too wide in my opinion. Most vertical scrolling rhythm games have much smaller lanes granting a much better overview. I wish it was the case in this game, too. Or the option to make it less wide. It would be a lot more comfortable for the player. Of course, the notes do not play the actual music when hit, they just give a clicky sound. You can lower the volume on it to the point of not having it be heard at all, as some prefer. Another glaring issue is that the game does not offer calibration, neither for sound nor visuals. And while the charting seems okay, as I said, I do feel that, to stay in line with the music, I have to hit the note a bit later than I feel I should based on the visuals. It really feels like I am always cutting it really close to missing the note, as it's almost off the board already by the time I'd hit it to make sense with the music. And if I do not hit it where it makes sense with the music, but solely based on the visuals, it doesn't feel good cuz it'll be off-key. I'd say the game is still worth it if you're a rhythm game fanatic like me who loves playing through a bunch of them. Especially since it has a decent sized song library and is not that expensive, especially if on sale. But if you just want a cheap rhythm game to start with, then there's many others that are a better choice for little money. I personally recommend MUSNYX as a solid choice. Super cheap, tons of songs, visually better, songs are key-sounded with the actual songs, and you can pick between 4 or 6 key. It's cheaper than this game and much higher quality than this one, too.
