I personally really like this game! It's so nostalgic and cozy. I also had the problem of the horse being completely black but after restarting the game and opening a new profile it worked! Dressage is just so hard in the 4-star league!

its challenging on steam deck with the jolty controls, and a very short game you can finish in 6 hours, but i loved it. nostalgic

This is an old PC game, updated for compatibility with modern systems & steam. It is not a remaster, so the graphics are as they were in the original release, which if its a nostalgic favourite, adds to the charm. There are some visual bugs with the game, many other players have mentioned that the horses load as a white "ghost" where you can't see the colour of the horse or tack only the 3D model shape and sometimes the tail is coloured. Whilst it is understandable that this is a casual game probably targeted at children, there are some balance issues with the gameplay where the difficulty from 3-star to 4-star rises exponentially, especially in the cross country challenges. It is also possible to max-out a horses stats pretty quickly by grinding at the lower level competitions. It is also a fairly short game, and can be completed in about 5-6 hrs if you skip the horse care aspect of the game until it starts affecting your competition stats and rinse repeat. On a less technical aside, i get a bit sad that for the cross-country tutorial you really have to wear out your horse to pass the level :( you can make yourself feel better by giving your virtual horsie lots of pats tho. UPDATE: If you run the game from the .exe instead of the steam launcher, the horses and tack display correctly.

Spiel für Freunde der CD-ROM Pferdespiele! Das Spiel, welches leider nur auf Englisch verfügbar ist, wirkt wie eine sehr frühe Version von "Bella Sara" mit vielen technischen Problemen. Es eignet sich aber gut für einen gemeinsamen Spieleabend (am selben PC) man kann gegen andere Spieler antreten und schauen wer in den Turnieren am besten abschneidet. Wer gemütlich über Hindernisse springen will, ohne sich über Controllersteuerung oder langatmige Pferdepflege zu ärgern ist hier richtig, ein Spiel für alle die mit den "Pferd & Pony" CD-ROM Spielen aufgewachsen sind. Wer sich mahl wieder über ein neues Pferdespiel aufgeregt hat sollte sich abregen und eine Runde dieses Spiel spielen!

The steam launcher is completely broken, screwing up textures entirely. The only way to get it to run properly is to open the local files and launch it via the .exe there. Found out after purchasing it was the cracked version of the game from oldgamesdownload, this is most likely a scam. I got the game refunded.
