The protagonist decides to take a leap of faith. They may have never left their home start system of Helios, but surely there must be something (or maybe someone) better out there waiting for them.

Beautiful art, love the soundtrack and all the characters. Voice actors are great, story is interesting so far. Can't wait for part 2!
I've been so excited for this game for a long time now, and it was totally worth the wait. The art is beautiful, and the characters are all so unique. I love getting to mix ingredients and find recipes and I can't wait for even more in the future.

I played the OG demo a long time ago and quickly backed it on Kickstarter! I have been beyond impressed with the way Clumsy Cat studios has evolved this game! I love it so much! The VA's, the art, the still art scenes! You can tell they truly poured their hearts and souls into this! The story is so cute and the amount of cooking you can do IS ABSOLUTELY BONKERS! 10/10! If you love aliens and a diverse cast of love interests then you HAVE to play LatMWD!! xx
It's such a cute game. I really love its warm and colourful look, the soothing music and the fun and cute characters. The cooking is fun and it's overall just a wholesome experience!
A Cozy Little Space Diner Full of Heart I’ve been following the artist behind Love at the Milky Way Diner on social media for almost as long as this project has existed, so getting to finally play Chapter 1 has been incredibly exciting! This is a game I’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and I’m so happy it’s finally here. The character designs are absolutely adorable, and I LOVE the art style. The idea of running a little diner on a deep-space station surrounded by a bunch of cute, eccentric aliens is such a fun and cozy premise. I really enjoy the combination of cooking, getting to know the station’s residents, and making choices that can potentially win their hearts. I’m also already having such a hard time choosing a love interest because HOW am I supposed to pick just one??? Since this is early access and only the first chapter of a planned three-chapter story, I’m very excited to see where everything goes from here. There’s already so much to love, and I’m more than happy to patiently wait for the rest of the journey. I’m also very sorry to hear about the ongoing health issues Emmanuelle has been dealing with. Please take all the time you need to focus on yourself and your health! As someone who has been following this project for as long as possible, I’m more than happy to wait and see where you take it. Your health comes first! I’m just so happy Love at the Milky Way Diner exists, and I can’t wait to see what comes next. Feel better soon, Emmanuelle! And thank you for making such a lovely little corner of the galaxy!
Love at the Milky Way Diner completely stole my heart in just its first chapter, which is honestly impressive considering this is still early access. I found this game ages ago while doom scrolling on Instagram and I have been waiting not so patiently ever since. Seeing it finally launch felt like spotting a shooting star and yes, I am absolutely leaning into the space theme. The art style is genuinely out of this world, pun fully intended. The characters are stunning, the station is beautiful, and every new location felt like a little visual treat. I loved getting to unlock special scenes with each character because it made the whole experience feel rewarding and personal. The writing really surprised me in the best way. The story felt thoughtful and playful without ever tipping into corny territory. I actually felt like my choices mattered, which is something I don't take for granted in dating sims. The characters all felt distinct and memorable, and the diversity made it easy to fall for basically everyone. Truly rude behavior from the developers to make me like the entire cast. One thing I really appreciated was how well balanced the time felt. You get to spend meaningful moments with everyone, but you also get those special one on one 'dates' that can be friendly or flirty depending on your vibe. It never felt rushed or overwhelming, which is a hard balance to strike and they nailed it. The cooking mechanic was also a lot of fun. I enjoyed experimenting and seeing if I could figure out recipes on my own like a chaotic little space chef. My only wish would be the recipe I am currently making was shown somewhere on screen. I kept forgetting what I was supposed to be cooking and had a few moments of staring at the ingredients like wow I truly live here now lol. I noticed a couple small capitalization errors, but honestly that was it. For the most part this game already feels incredibly polished, which is wild considering it is just the beginning. This is easily one of the best dating sims I have played in a long time and trust me I've played a lot. I am absolutely keeping a close eye on this one and I cannot wait to see where it goes next.
I am having a great time with this game. The characters are well-written, even ones you may not initially like are worth getting to know. I have so many favourites, picking one would be impossible. The story so far is great, very relationship centric but not at all in a bad way. the lore we do get is very interesting, but I never felt annoyed by any exposition. I also imagine stories will get deeper as we get further into the game, and there are already slight branching paths which make replaying totally worth it. My only issues come with the coding, they do not detract from the experience in any major way, but are worth mentioning. From minor and very occasional spelling issues, a few instances of characters saying someone else's line, but the only thing that has bothered my is CGs not appearing in the album. Only with CGs outside of ones in that appeared in the demo, though this could be coincidence. None of this makes the game less worthy of your time, these will not effect a playthrough in any meaningful way. This is one of the better VNS I've played recently, made with obvious passion and skill. I would recommend it to anyone who likes cozy romances, worlds rich with lore, and hot aliens.
I overall loved the game and loved the characters, and really hope to see more in the future
