Neat game. You can speedrun it by taking educated guesses things before you ever find actual evidence, but I recommend you build a timeline and figure things out properly, its more fun that way.
Wonderful format and story. just wish there was more
The game is short but it's a satisfying little mystery. I liked the interface but I feel that there could have been a clearer message that hte Redacted app could be used on the articles that were modified.
I honestly can't figure out why this game has such good reviews. The aesthetic is nice and the wiki idea is cute, but nothing about the core mystery is mysterious--the big reveal is obvious very early on. I also question the logic of putting the answer to the only clever bit that might have taken any thought to solve--
the glasses
--in the game trailer. The only difficulties in it come from inconsistencies in the information it gives you (e.g. 'Mayor X started Project Y in this year', but he wasn't actually the mayor in that year and isn't described as having any other job that would allow him to start the project). Other times you just have to brute force guesses because the information isn't specific enough to know who played what exact role in events
like the last ritual
(and the cast is small!). The timeline is also nonsense, or at least not adequately explained:
we are told Liliya/the Witch doesn't age normally because she takes the medicinal herbs, but the whole family would be EXTREMELY OLD by the time the game events take place: Atyla and Mtislav both had to be over 100 years old, and presumably Jan is at least in his 70s. It is simply unbelievable that no one would notice or remark on this, especially since the game implies that Liliya is the only one whose lifespan is unnatural.
Lastly, the English isn't great, and I don't think it was an aesthetic choice to match the locale. It took me out of what story there was, and occasionally makes the puzzles less clear.
A classic "short but sweet" game. The existence of the wiki itself kind of strains credulity in my opinion, but I was having enough fun unraveling the story that I didn't mind.
