Okay, so it's like the easiest ninja gaiden game, mixed saint seiya and dmc. Pretty cool honestly. It's a lil FF coded, but honestly not a bad game. A solid 8/10, even tho that the end is a boss fest and the enemies can be rather spongy at times.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

You know how in the 2000s, you would have a bargin bin the gaming area of your Electronics department that would have cheap PS2 and Xbox games , well Lost Souls Aside is one of those games that would've belong in that bin. The story is completely forgettable, BUT the combat is where Lost Soul Aside really shines and I'm always a sucker for games that follow the Devil May Cry of Flashy combos and Ninja Gaiden fast and efficient gameplay.
I would recommend it for one reason only: if you can get it at a very low discount. I bought the deluxe edition of this game on day one. After playing the intro, I could tell right away just how cheap and low-quality the product was. Still, I didn't refund it; I told myself things might improve as I progressed. Instead, the situation remained just as bad—or actually got even worse—the further I played. I’m not lying: I truly hated the game from the start. I put it aside after less than ten hours of playtime and didn't touch it again until the beginning of this month—so, roughly a year later. I had expected things to be better, given the constant updates they were releasing; I assumed the issues had surely been fixed. Right? Well, unfortunately, the performance is still poor. It has improved compared to before, sure, but it’s still bad—there’s stuttering, frame drops, and flickering. Still, I decided to keep playing with a fresh mindset this time and put my initial experience behind me. As I progressed, it became clear that the game is a "cheap" product, though one you can still enjoy. The combat is great, the weapons are cool, and the game is linear and simple. However, that cheapness is always apparent—from the voice acting and character models to the menus that lag slightly every time you interact with them (they aren't smooth at all) and the weak graphics that feel like something from the PS4 era (and even some PS4 games look better than this). Also, as I progressed, I started noticing the padding; the game just throws enemies and fights at you to say, "Look, our combat system is good." I get it already—I’ve fought the same monster multiple times! It tries to stretch things out by constantly throwing enemies at you and forcing you into random battles. That’s why the runtime ended up being 15 hours instead of 8 or 10. Honestly, the platforming was great, and the combat was fun and simple. I didn't care about the story from the start, and when I actually checked it out, it turned out to be trivial. I generally don't care about stories in games—this one included—to the point where I skipped the cutscenes; I wasn't interested in the narrative, nor did I want to look at the poor facial animations and expressions. Ultimately, I don't consider *Lost Soul Aside* a bad game; it’s fun and enjoyable, but it feels very "cheap." The performance is poor, the character models and facial animations are bad, and the graphics look very dated. However, the combat, platforming, and gameplay variety are great—like using a specific weapon to open a door or move a pillar, which was a nice touch. I hated it when it first came out; now, while I acknowledge its low-budget feel and don't blame those who still dislike it, it remains a decent enough game. Would I recommend buying it? Honestly, if not for the money I spent on it, I wouldn't have gone back to play it after nearly a year; I really should have requested a refund within the very first minute of gameplay. I’d recommend it only if there’s a massive discount—it’s a cheap game, so it’s worth a low price, and at that point, you won’t regret what you paid for it.
