About
From the world of "Lost Eidolons" comes a tactical roguelite RPG, where death is just the beginning.
Shipwrecked and dying, you strike a deal with a mysterious witch for another chance. The price? Become her champion and vanquish her enemies.
As you awaken on a cursed island overrun by the dead, you have no memory and no way out - other than to forge ahead to fulfill the witch's bidding.
Engage in challenging grid-based battles where every move and combo demands precision. Leverage elemental effects to manipulate the battlefield - electrify soaked enemies, ignite flammable terrain, and exploit every opportunity. Account for enemy armor and strike with the right weapon to break through and gain the advantage. Build devastating skill synergies, control the flow of battles, or be outmaneuvered and crushed by foes.
Recruit allies and build a squad of 5 from 9 versatile characters - each blending multiple combat roles with unique skills, weapon sets, and personalities. As you level up, earn and upgrade over 200 skills to create deadly team compositions and game-winning builds. Experiment with different squads and strategies every run to find new ways of dominating the battlefield.
No two runs are the same. Choose your path across a winding map full of random events, hidden rewards, and dangerous encounters. Every step along the island’s forking paths will present new possibilities that can shift your entire strategy. Plan your path carefully, but be ready to adapt, as some choices can lead to powerful rewards, while others hide unplanned encounters. Take risks, claim winnings, and adapt your strategy to survive what comes next.
Failure isn’t the end; it’s part of the journey. Every death makes you stronger for the battles ahead. Spend your rewards at the base camp to permanently boost your stats. Promote characters to unlock powerful new skills. Deepen your bonds with allies to uncover their pasts and gain more tactical advantage on the field. When you're ready, dive back into the fight and push farther than ever before.
Once you complete a successful expedition, the real challenge begins. Return to the battlefield to track hidden clues and unravel the mysteries of your mysterious patron. Face off against powerful foes and confront the truth behind the island’s curse. And if you’re feeling truly brave, tackle Trials Mode: a high-stakes challenge with customizable difficulty modifiers and juicy rewards to push your wits to the limit.

Great roguelike, charismatic characters, fun combat, interesting story, just wanted more variety and more late game content.
Played this about 20-30 hours (offline on deck lost me some for my record) and it has a lot of pros but also a lot of cons. First off, it is a legitimate rogue-like strategy RPG in a similar vein of Fire Emblem and props to the dev team for that. However, ultimately the TL:DR is that the balance is wildly all over the place and the battles can get quite tedious, especially when you start scaling up the difficulty (as you are supposed to do) and for boss battles. Pros: - Wealth of progression options that truly do make all of your characters stronger over time - Forgiving system, with the ability to wind back time (to an extent) and by default no serious setbacks if a character dies in a battle (they come back the next battle) - Deep lore + dialogue - Multiple characters to find and recruit - Bond system between characters is both lore based plus also gives combat bonuses in meaningful ways - Many events and options during runs that unlock over time, which help the replayability - Runs great on the Steam Deck Cons: - Combat gets amazingly tedious where any given fight might be your 5 characters vs 20 enemies - Boss fights are so frustrating that they nearly ruin the whole experience, with Fire Emblem Style beast systems where a big enemy requires multiple hits with multiple of the right weapons, which sounds fine in practice until you realize that if you lose one of our your 5 characters in a fight you often can no longer break their defenses. What's worse, is that nearly all bosses will keep spawning adds/extra enemies to fight non-stop - Your characters have a hard cap of level 20, even on hard mode when they need more options - It took 15 hours to unlock a lot of the basic features, like switching classes or before I got my first new characters. The pacing of adding complexity and options felt pretty poor in the beginning. - Runs are quite long for a rogue-like due to the above, with 3-4 hours per run if you are on the later stages - The story is mixed, with some understandable and decent writing followed up by silly nonsense like "that big bad enemy we've been fighting is secretly my family member" Ultimately, I'm right in the middle where I love many aspects of it but as you get further into the progression the slower it can feel and the less satisfying progression is. Do not recommend, but do your research and check it out in depth if you really want to take a stab it.
