Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I got this game a few years back. I saw cute characters and LGBTQ+ themes. I tried to play it maybe 3 or 4 times, but always got distracted by something else happening in life roughly an hour or two in. I could not have gotten back to this game at a more perfect time and place in life. The cast are all dinosaurs and the main story driver is an asteroid, we all know how this ends, but it's really about how you get there. This game shows a pretty realistic portration of queer friend circles, queer people stick together. The story made me worry, stop and think and question how I would react in these situations, and I found almost every dialogue option to have at least one option I would pick in real life. Right now, I'm faced with the same problem the characters in the game are at the beginning; How do you want to spend the rest of your life? At the time of writing this, I just got accepted into university, putting me squarely in the same age bracket as the characters, with the same queer friend group and problems. If you are a young queer adult, this game is a must play, and don't put it off.

I wish I could recommend this game as I really, really enjoyed this game up until the ending, where it seemed that the choices I made didn't matter and the ending was set in stone from the beginning. The music and art of this game is incredible, and the rythem games every once in a while were really fun. The story was interesting too and I really enjoyed being back in the high school drama, but for a game where your choices are supposed to matter, it really didn't feel like it considering the way it ended. There were a few parts of the game that I didn't enjoy, mostly
the L&L sections as they didn't feel important and kinda dragged on a little too much, especially considering there wasn't really all that much to do for the player and the voice acting was non-existent in these parts.
Another part I really didn't like was the way the game dealt with relationships, as I felt like some of the choices the characters made didn't fit with the way that their current relationship to eachother would be. My biggest issue with this is the part at the end where
Fang and Trish had a falling out and as the player I was ready to give up on that relationship as I felt Trish was incredibly toxic, but because the ending is set in stone we were forced to fix the relationship between Fang and Trish. This felt so incredibly forced and undeveloped and completely made me lose all joy in the game, which was really unfortunate.
I think overall this is a great game, but the ending is so unsatisfying and doesn't fit with the "choices matter" aspect of the game, even though the game makes you believe that it's important. For these reasons, I can't recommend this game.
This game so far has very good and visual story telling. Its also just a great game in general with the little music sections (depending on skill). Overall I totally think this game should get more updates or even more possibly. Thanks for lookin' at this review!
i wish there was a netural, but i guess this will do, the game is okay like just okay i really wish there was more to it but no, your choices dont really matter, you can basically be a ♥♥♥♥♥ and still have the same outcome, the art is great, the charcters r,, okay it's kind of similar to little misfortune in a way and i honestly like little misfortune alot more then this game, its like a 5,5/10 for me
Short and sweet story, and the awesome soundtrack is what really shines. Voice acting sounds really good, character art looks great too. (and Sage is adorable) However, pacing feels kinda off and overall the game feels like it's incomplete; but I would be interested to see a sequel or prequel at some point. Also for being a rebel, Fang doesn't do much rebelling. After also playing SG, this one comes out on top; because: -it doesn't try to reward the MC by turning Fang into someone they're not just so the MC becomes more attracted to them, -it doesn't make the weird assumption that being nb will turn you into a miserable drug addict (or school s*****r) -doesn't have weird racist undertones regarding Trish
Sage is very cute
Русские субтитры писал либо пьяный нарик либо ИИшка. Пришлось англ юзать
Pretty amazing. Beautiful art, great voice acting, fantastic music. It kinda feels both cozy and nostalgic. I guess something that didn't quite work for me is it that it felt like choices didn't really matter. The exact stuff I tried to avoid came crashing in like a train on rails. But I guess in a story about coping with stuff you can't do anything about it makes perfect sense.
this game is very special, despite the generic high school setting its very distinct from many other narrative story games, Goodbye Volcano High (GVH) is set in the teenage years of Fang's life, they're part of the class of "the end",
right before the end of the entire world. The game is set in prehistoric Pangea if modern technology existed and all the dinosaurs were bipedals, which works very well for this game. As you play through the game you choose dialogue choices to hurt or help your friends and play shows with your band, as you keep playing you uncover the truth about Fang and how they treat others, and right before the end of the world, you have to make things up to everyone.
as narrative story games go, GVH is far from perfect as some of the voice acting is sub-par, the animation in some scenes is a little weird too, but in most instances voice acting is good (sometimes, great even) and the art is beautiful. The rhythm sections are fun but not very challenging, and sometimes the game feels a little slow because its often just dialogue and could use more rhythm segments (this is largely a symptom of the genre though), the music in GVH is really, really good. Every character has their own story and personality, and the game kept me engaged in these characters for the 6 straight hours i played it. One thing i would change about GVH is giving more time with Naomi (spoiler)
Fang sort of just blows her off after BOTB.
but over all, GVH is very enjoyable. At one point, this game was madly hated largely because of the lackluster state of play that Playstation had in which GVH was announced, and because it's Scalies in a high school setting. Most people who hate on this game have extraordinarily stupid reasons to do so and have never played it, i highly recommend getting it on sale if you like narrative/CYOA games, it often goes for 15 and that's a perfectly reasonable price for it.
