I love the mechanic and think this game could help language learners everywhere. However, I experienced a game-breaking bug (customers appear but do not communicate their orders, rendering the game unplayable) after about 20 minutes. At first I could correct the problem by rebooting; now the issue persists whatever I do. Since the developers have not updated the game in the ten months since its release from Early Access, and others have experienced the same issues, I have asked for a refund.
LAC has good ideas and the gameplay itself is pretty cute/good when you play a couple of minutes every once in a while. But the game is clearly not finished and the language learning aspect is severely lacking. It has many minor bugs, the UI has issues, some mechanics are not fleshed out or polished etc. Language learning is nothing more than a small amount of words that keep getting repeated. It's more of a normal game than truly learning something out of it. I'm also worried of potential language mistakes with the Japanese version. This game was in early access and it's clear that it was quietly 'finished' sooner than it should have. It's a shame because again, the gameplay idea is good. It might still be worth experiencing for that if you can get it on the cheap.
The premise is great, however it can be executed much better, which i hope it will be <33
Early Access Review: This game is super cute and has a lot of potential! This would be fantastic for grades 7-10ish, though it works just as well for adults. I hope to see the creators have the opportunity to continue working on it!
Really like this game! Hope the devs add more vocab & encounters!
good game for learning languages and also reviewing and practicing them
Incredibly impressed with how much fun it is, how the learning blends into the tasks, but I echo what others have said, this is a recommendation based on the hope more will be added.
Very cool Idea. Very boring to play though. Hope they're able to make it fun one day

I enjoyed this game.... when it worked. The language you will learn in this game is super basic. But, an hour or two with this game and you'll be an expert at ordering coffee in your target language. This game is a great idea and has a ton of potential. However, a few bugs made this game unplayable. The one worth complaining about is that the customers quit giving orders. Every time I started a round, they would just stand there in front of the counter silently, no text bubble, no speaking. The dialogue options on the side that the game gives you to speak to them wouldn't appear. Restarting the game didn't fix it. There wasn't anything in the settings that I found to fix it. So the game basically broke. I love the idea of this game, but it's too buggy to recommend.
