Reviews
Great concept, sloppy programming, game breaking bugs, repetitive TTS no real voices. I bought this in EA to help support a promising language app, but after a long EA limbo it released as is.
Love the graphics and style of this game. Relaxing but a engaging way to learn a language in a practical way. Look forward to more content.
It's a bit buggy (voice sometimes doesn't play, text can overlap), and very limited (just a few drinks and snacks) but it's cheap. If you want to check how to order your favourite cake, or just get used to listening to a language then it might help.
Hardly functions. Definitely needs work. Achievements don't count for 100% completion stat on Steam, so don't bother for that reason alone.
Very well-designed game
Interesting idea, poor execution. Got it at full price, to be honest I won't ask for a refund if it's not full of game breaking bugs. I was hoping the game would get better but according to what I saw in discord, the dev have abandoned the game (officially they call it "pause" instead of abandon, but leaving a game full of bugs to sell on steam without a plan of continuous bug fix looks very much like abandon to me) Pros:

put language to use
repetition in a natural scenario
Cons:

Too buggy, have to quit and re-start quite often due to various bugs including customer standing in front of me but the greet options now showing up
quite some underlined words does not come with explanations
Various characters shows as a square (tofu) instead, in Japanese. This is a language learning game for god's sake.
sometimes voice does not play so I have to read the text to get customer order.
Too short, not enough content
putting large cup on the counter results in blocking the tea bags.
basic mouse operation feels unresponsive and inaccurate
in-game achievements does not match steam achievements, a proof of poor production quality
Love the game. It was interesting because I started to understand intuitively what the customers were saying without really thinking about it. Probably the best task-based language learning application that exists and I hope they keep updating it.
I like it
Update: Originally there was a bug in the tutorial that prevented me from progressing. Since the new patch update, I am very much enjoying the game! THIS GAME IS SO FUN AND EDUCATIONAL! I really enjoy the timed modes and the upgrade system. I cannot wait to play even more as we learn multiple languages along the way! There were a few times the customers did not speak, but it was easy to read the order request. There was another small issue of no customers and simply leaving the cafe and restarting the timed mode refreshes and fixes? it. Overall, def rec this game now that the major bug has been patched! Thank you devs for listening and taking action to fix! 🥰
