Game is otherwise pretty decent. But there is one enormous reason I drop this in the hard 'not reccomended' tab. Now if this is a bug I'll take the review down. But it might not be. Anyway, if you're attacked by two enemies at once[not that hard to end up with in this game mind you] BOTH enemies automatically crit. Often either killing you. Or nearly killing you. Edit:After coming across a few different items. And realizing that enemies never attack the same turn you're on a tile with them. I Have decided to return this to 'reccomended'. It's more a matter of finding narrow alleyways to fight them one at a time. A weird gimmick. But i'll get used to it. Edit 2:after more playing. Whatever was causing that glitch has stopped. and it seems in fact it was a glitch.
I really wanted to play this game, but it constantly froze, save games wouldnt load, menus would glitch out.

I've now enjoyed over a hundred hours with this little game, in two play-throughs separated by a few years. It's a small thing, and yet surprisingly expansive and immersive, and less rudimentary than it appears at first glance. It doesnt take itself terribly seriously, so I don't have to either, and somehow that makes it a perfect way to pleasurably muck away some time when I have that dungeon-crawler itch. I have the usual gripes for all such games - not enough storage, not obvious what I should keep or toss, magic system is a bit confusing - but I would say the same of the biggest and most established games around. This is an amusing little labor of love and I recommend it highly.
I bought Baldur's Gate 3, and then stumbled across Lootbox on iOS, and bought it on Steam shortly after. I like it much, much more than Baldur's Gate 3. As the tagline says, it's satisfying dungeon crawling -- a bit confining at the start, but as you progress there is a world to explore, a ton of ways to develop your character, and all sorts of neat little mechanics and secrets to discover. A steal at the price, and a brilliant little RPG.
good while watching movies
It's fun!
Excuse me Mario, I take it personally that you only mentioned 5 reviews on Steam and completely neglected the AppStore review that I left flippantly some time in the past. Lootbox RPG is for the faint of heart. If you can't take that, this is still the game for you. I loved it on iOS and, when it came to Steam, I bought 5 copies of it, maybe 4, for friends who will never play it because it's such a good game (it actually is). If you've ever played Dink Underwood, this isn't like that, but you might be tempted to think so. Lootbox is simply on another level, once you kill the vampires on this one. Mario, you have more than 10 reviews now, please acknowledge the lack of effort we put in, your game is too good. Truly, though, thank you for continuing to pour love into this awesome dungeon crawler. Because I enjoyed it so much on my phone, I decided to buy it wherever I can. Keep up as much of the great work as you want to. You bring lots of laughs, sarcasm, and joy to us! People, buy and play this, it's worth ever bit of its spot in your library!
Extremely good game for an extremely good price. It's one of those dungeon crawlers with slow progression that makes the progress feel earned and demon-lord-dad is still very entertaining even after reaching tier 3. after 28 hours I have only just left the starter zone with the first 3 dungeons at level 30, and I don't know if its my bad build or whatever, but the difficulty increased even and I'm having alot of fun when I have time to do something other than work. Additional info: I liked the game a ton, even if it seems unfinished and a bunch of the 1st overworld area dungeons are unavailable and the 2nd overworld zone is 'blocked right now' I got 35 hours out of it and I hope it gets completed soon! I still recommend it!
I just started playing this game after its been in my library for years...and man I should have played it sooner, if you enjoy a good dungeon grind that is fun. this for you.
Simpel, aber auf eine gute Art. Klare Empfehlung.
