I'm pretty sad to have to leave a negative review for this one. The game is built on an awesome concept, the writing is excellent, and there is a ton to do for the price tag. Unfortunately, while these factors make for a wonderful story, as a game it fails miserably, primarily because of one massive bug that just never gets addressed. When you select what enemies to attack in combat, if it is a multi-enemy fight, the targeting reticule is broken beyond belief. You will click on an enemy, and it will flash and select a completely different enemy. At first I just thought I was getting confused or something, making me target at random, but nope... it is just broken game design. It doesn't matter if you choose an enemy from the list of targets, or if you manually try to select the graphic on the screen. It will regularly screw you over with mis-targeting in *every single fight*. This is an absolute nightmare if you are trying to farm Joel up (which is what I tried to do), since he has to get the last hit on enemies to power up. Pretty hard to do when you cannot target the enemy you want. Battles are tough (especially at higher difficulties). One mistargeted attack can cause your party to wipe, and with the limited save system this results in an insane amount of backtracking through absolutely no fault of your own. It's unbearably bad to the point that it overshadows everything positive about this game. This would make an awesome tv show or movie, but the most basic fundamentals of combat simply do not work, and as such it completely fails as a game.

One of the BEST video games I have EVER watched/played, please for the love of everything check this game out if you have not. PHENOMENAL artwork, OST, story, character design, worldbuilding, etc. I can genuinely NOT recommend this game enough.
