Video (gameplay + commentary):
https://youtu.be/QT1Gn8l1E6Q
Summary:
Generally recommended and a testament to what a dedicated group of developers can do in a relatively short time (8 months). Graphics are smooth, colorful, and enjoyable. The game is a third person 3D action platformer with an emphasis on solving puzzles by way of the main character's unique ability to extend his robotic arm great distances. This allows for some neat (and sometimes easy to use but difficult to master) situations where you have to extend your arm, grab stuff, and use them elsewhere to reach new areas. You can also pole vault with your stiffened arm to get around which can take some practice to get right, but is pretty satisfying once you do. Overall it's a great mechanic and while it could use some refining, it's a joy to use. The platforming is decent with some parts where you may get stuck in level geometry, but it's also pretty easy to free yourself if this happens. It's essentially demo length and we could see it leading to a more expansive and interesting game. Overall we enjoyed it and applaud the work that went into it by Quality Games. And really, since it's free, there's no sense in not checking it out.

Fun little game, great job by the students! Hope to see a full fledged version soon!
A good student game. Quite pretty if a little flat and solid gameplay mechanics for a quick ride. Keyboard controls weren't a priority so I'd recommend you play with a controller. In case you're stubborn like me here are the controls: movement: WASD jumping: Space Shooting: LMB Grabbing/Pulling: E Pushing: Q Stiffen Arm: RMB Select Ground Pound: Z Select High Noon: C Use Super Move: X Skip Cutscene: Tab Mouse controls get inverted on the minecart for some reason, so heads up on that.
An unfiltered ride on a glass elevator full of emotion, breath taking graphics paired with usable intuitive controlls makes this the best free to play game out there. It reminded me of nothing because there just isnt a game of this caliber on the market today. Only critique was the lack of nautical nonsense in general. 10/10 Cant wait for the sequel "Slightly Longer Arm of the Law"
Long Arm of the Law seems like a bad console port but apparently it's not. Instead, significant effort has been made to make a PC native third person brawler/shooter/platformer look and feel exactly like a terrible console port. Despite not being a console game, the developers locked out a lot of KB controls, requiring the use of a console peasant childrens toy controller. Despite never having been on consoles! Controls and resolution are locked, and the camera angles and gameplay polish are poor, in line with this attempt to recreate a bad console port. The developers absolutely succeeded in their questionable goal here. I was 100% convinced this was a bad console port. While this is free, and that's a noble gesture, it's quite bad, due to the terrible control screwups. I do not understand or endorse the developers goal to synthesise a badly done console port.
Long Arm of the Law 10 из 10
Suspense, laughs, crying. Never would have expect such intense high octane game play out of an indie game. This will rival Dark Souls for years to come before the sequel comes out. 10/10
Long Arm of the Law, Robotik Batı'da geçen, elektrikli tabanca ve uzatılabilir kola sahip bir şerifin kendisine ait olanı geri almaya çalıştığı bir aksiyon platform oyunudur.
