London Ripper is a short game where you play as a prostitute trying to earn enough money to get a hotel and escape Jack the Ripper. Here is my playthrough of the game if you are interested! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WERvWl_gNSk&t=1383s&ab_channel=PurpleReaperPlays Good points: - good atmosphere - gameplay was functional - pixelated style fit well - enjoyable little game -ran smoothly - different endings Points to improve on: - the currency was USD$ which ruins the immersion of 1889 London - some of the vocabulary used was also americanised (like trash can, cop and 'it sucks') - the game was very dark and the lantern randomly turned on halfway through the game, not sure how to actually turn it on though - volume was either 0 or 1 so it was rather quiet ^^ These points are are the nitpicking of a British person, but overall I loved the concept, I just think there are some details that need ironing out. I can't wait to see what else Purple Thunder games have in store, I intend on following the work of these developers and will continue to support x

All right little horror game.
Good idea but poorly executed. Volume is to low, no option to adjust brightnes. You cant outsmart/outrun the killer, once he saw you - he will chase you until you are dead or you ran to nearest brothel/hotel. Sometimes heartbeat isnt working, so you cant even guess where the killer is. And you cant really hide from him on a street, because no matter what - killer is always goes straight at your direction.
Yeah it's alright don't expect a long game its a short quick game and don't settle in any hotels till you have $100 then pay for the most expensive at hotel at $100 and you win game works fine to no issues avoid the ripper
nice story LOL , but the game is so dark
I picked up London Ripper on sale while looking for survival horror games to play on my YouTube channel. I haven't edited any footage, but it probably took me around 35-40 minutes to finish the entirety of the game, earn all endings, and get all of the achievements. I overall enjoyed my experience, but had some comments about the game for the devs or anyone that is considering buying the game, or if the devs make any future projects in the vein of this. [Pros] -Spooky atmosphere -Simple but effective gameplay loop for the short runtime. -I'm a sucker for the ps1-style graphics. - Devs included a streamer mode, which is super content creator friendly. [Cons] -Pretty short runtime, even for a dollar or less. -Pause button is nonexistent, which is frustrating, because there isn't really any need to limit this function. -The Ripper isn't too much of a threat, because it takes 4-5 hits for you to actually die. The only thing that had me nervous was walking around corners, and being jump-scared by him. While this isn't a deal-breaker for the game, the illusion of fear was broken after being killed by him once. In conclusion, I thought this was a neat little game, and I am a sucker for the PS1 inspired era graphics, as well a survival horror fanatic (despite having an anxiety disorder, lol). I think this game works best as a 30-45 minute experience, because the gimmicks and gameplay loops don't overstay their welcome too much. As I mentioned in the cons section of this review, the Ripper can be a little bit of a pushover, and if the game was any longer, it would've been more of an issue. For what this game is, it's pretty neat, and you should check it out. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to stream/record it, or for playing with a group of friends.
uh
I didnt know what to expect of this game. I must say it was quite nice. The little story around the ripper and navigating through the dark alleyways was quite cool. The "grind" was not too shabby and the loss after the death was not too heavy. For 2 bucks its pretty nice. I can recommend it.
map is a maze but u get used to it, very cool game
