i play factory balls so i have some expectation in it. not as addictive as factory balls, but the puzzles are great and the emoji are cute i hope bart bonte will someday makes puzzle like Draknek with larger scale and better visual and depth. or even Zachtronics-like.
Friends on a discord server said this game was about an hour long. I decided to buy it to spend one hour. The first 45 puzzles took me about an hour long in total. The last 5 levels took me 3 hours more, 2 of those spent on the second to last puzzle alone. Most of them are super easy puzzles, which makes the two or three harder ones feel pretty frustrating, but all the more rewarding once you figure them out I still want those 3 extra hours back tho (The 0.1 hours is because I played on offline mode by accident)

cute little puzzle game. the puzzles themselves have been done in other games before but it doesnt tell you outright what the puzzle is until you move the character(s) around a bit to see what moves and what doesnt. from there u can figure out where the pieces go. musics also good, and im sure thisll be a fun game for kids since it has cute emojis representing everything in the game :) recommend giving it a shot, its only like $3 anyway which is worth it for what you get, even moreso on sale
It's cool, but the music gets annoying when you listen to it on the later levels. The difficulty scaling is good, the puzzle mechanics are repeating every 10 levels or so, giving you 5 levels of each 10 types of puzzle.
Most are easy, some take a bit of fussing. One or two are real stumpers. Only imperfection I can find is that the hard ones feel a little out of place in a casual game like this, when pretty much all of the others don't tax your brain too much. Of course, not everyone will agree on which ones are hard, nor on how hard they are, nor even on whether or not "too" hard is a legitimate criticism. For the most part, a very solid entry in the Bart Bonte oeuvre, and well worth his modest asking price.
A fun sokoban by one of the flash game greats
I like Bart Bonte, I just don't like this game. I think it's overusing the same mechanics over and over with no new ideas, and becomes boring after 10 levels or so. I know that most of his games are like that; but here these mechanics seem too dull and not-out-of-the-box for his style.
A solid continuation to Bart Bonte's games. I would have liked an undo button at times, but in general the puzzles were challenging fun.
Logica Emotica is an inventive puzzle game that demonstrates how a simple concept can evolve into a surprisingly engaging mental workout. Developed and published by Bart Bonte, the game revolves around solving a series of logic-based challenges using expressive emoji instead of traditional symbols or lengthy explanations. Rather than overwhelming players with tutorials or complex interfaces, it embraces a minimalist philosophy where experimentation and careful observation are the keys to success. From the opening stages, it becomes apparent that the game values the player's ability to think independently, making every solved puzzle feel like a genuine accomplishment instead of the result of following instructions. The campaign consists of fifty handcrafted levels, with each one introducing a fresh logical idea instead of merely increasing the difficulty of previous mechanics. Every puzzle has its own rules to uncover, encouraging players to examine visual clues, test different possibilities, and gradually understand the hidden objective. This constant stream of new concepts prevents the experience from becoming repetitive, as each completed stage opens the door to another unique challenge. The game rewards patience and creative thinking, making it particularly satisfying for players who enjoy discovering solutions through deduction rather than relying on explicit guidance. One of the game's strongest qualities is its use of emoji as a universal puzzle language. Familiar symbols communicate ideas without requiring much text, allowing players from different backgrounds to interpret challenges through observation alone. The clean presentation keeps distractions to a minimum, ensuring that attention remains focused entirely on solving each puzzle. Subtle animations and an intuitive interface further enhance the experience, creating a polished environment that complements the game's thoughtful design. Its minimalist visual approach also reinforces the idea that compelling gameplay does not require elaborate graphics when the underlying mechanics are strong. As the puzzles become increasingly sophisticated, Logica Emotica demands more than simple pattern recognition. Many later stages require players to combine logic, experimentation, and lateral thinking to uncover solutions. The game consistently introduces new twists that challenge assumptions established in earlier levels, preventing players from relying on familiar strategies. Fortunately, the inclusion of features such as quick restarts and undo options encourages experimentation without punishing mistakes, making it easy to test ideas until the correct solution emerges. This balance between challenge and accessibility helps maintain a rewarding pace throughout the adventure. The game does have a learning curve that may not appeal to everyone. Because it deliberately avoids detailed instructions, some puzzles can initially feel confusing or even cryptic. Players expecting direct explanations or clearly defined objectives may occasionally experience frustration before understanding the intended logic. However, this design philosophy is also what gives the game its greatest sense of satisfaction. The moment when a previously confusing puzzle suddenly becomes clear is consistently rewarding, creating memorable moments that many conventional puzzle games fail to achieve. Although replay value is naturally limited once individual puzzle solutions are known, the variety of mechanics and elegant design make revisiting favorite stages enjoyable. The collection of achievements provides an additional incentive for completionists, while the cleverly constructed puzzles remain memorable long after they have been solved. Fans of minimalist logic games will likely appreciate revisiting the game simply to admire how efficiently each challenge communicates its ideas through visual language alone. Overall, Logica Emotica succeeds by transforming a simple premise into a highly engaging puzzle experience filled with creativity and intelligent design. Bart Bonte once again demonstrates an impressive talent for crafting games that encourage curiosity and reward careful thinking. Its combination of accessible controls, distinctive emoji-based puzzles, and consistently inventive level design creates an experience that remains fresh from beginning to end. While its unconventional approach may occasionally challenge players who prefer more guidance, those willing to embrace its style will discover a rewarding collection of puzzles that celebrates logic, experimentation, and the joy of solving problems through observation. Great game from Bart Bonte again! Some levels were way more difficult than others, and in the end I had to google a guide for some of them. I timed myself so that if I got stuck for too long, I would use a guide. I recommend this method, so you can enjoy them all without getting frustrated. I would always redo the puzzle after looking at the guide, so I learned what moves were meant to be used. Worth the money in my opinion. Some of his work is free on Steam or online, so I definitely recommend checking them out if you aren't sure about buying yet. Personally I played his free works first, and decided that I loved them enough to buy the rest. Apparently he has also released his most popular games for mobile with plenty more levels. I will be checking those out too! There is a bug: when you get stuck in a level the movable items start to shift around and it gets difficult to follow after a while. I recommend just to resetting the level if you get stuck and notice this happening. Most puzzles only need less than 20 moves, so getting stuck means that you should start again.
