I really wanted to like this game, but I just won't let me. It's the definition of jankyness, from combat to spaceflight, to mereley traversing your own spaceship. The computer is quite witty though, and had me smiling a couple times with it's remarks. But that's the only good thing I can honestly write about my experience with it.
Its fun so far, but theres still a lot missing to it. It feels kind of bland and repetitive. I love the proficiency system but it levels up super easy so if 100 is the max im only on planet two and around 60-85 on the 3 proficiencys. its mostly mining and grapple/jump puzzles. The use of resources is mostly just craft a buttload of it to upgrade your skills or add attachments to weapons. Could easily add more craftables/buildables and more resources and expand on it. More building options to decorate the inside of your ship outside of the few you can find to unlock and the crafting tables. Could make it where theres ammo thats craftable and have stronger tier ammo, add more proficiencies to it and a map would be super helpful. You get a space mining vehicle but theres only so many rocks to mine around your ship. more potential to have space exploration adventure to it too. I hope they expand more onto the game. Its fun, its worth getting at least on sale. But it does get repetitive quickly. But give it a go if youre feeling up for it.

I have really been enjoying Lodestar with my friends. I've been playing on and off since launch, and checking back in just a month later, it's INSANE how much better this game looks. Dev team clearly cares and wants feedback from the community to make the game better and better. If you can stomach an early access game, and want to watch this title get better and better, and are in need of some co-op fun with friends, I highly recommend.
I think this game really has a lot of potential. My friends and I have been playing a good bit and overall the game is a lot of fun. Obviously there are some bugs that are a little painful but this game fills a really big vacuum of good longer-form multiplayer games. I think the main thing the game needs right now is a focus on polish rather than content. The game is great, but I'm afraid that frustrating bugs and the slight lack of polish in some areas could scare players away at first impression. Overall, the team have done a great job of making a really cool world that has a ton of potential. This game is great and if you're thinking about getting it you should!!!!!!!
Great multiplayer game play with your friends, especially if you're into crafting and exploring! Its biggest highlights are probably the grappling hook which really enhances the exploring experience, to the point of even allowing you and your friends to reach otherwise difficult/impossible to reach areas by grappling each other with it and the ability to "boost" while crafting, allowing you to speed up processes that otherwise could take a lot longer like in other games. Although in my opinion the game still needs some fine tuning in some aspects (i.e. you can get lost pretty easily while exploring, leading to some difficulties with rendezvousing with your party), I've had a pretty good experience and an overall fun time playing with my friends.
This game had the potential to be good but currently is a waste of money and time
Pretty decent game just feels a little bare bones right now. Pros: Works fairly decent on controller if you turn the sensitivity way down. Game definitely looks beautiful on an Oled. Mindless mining for those who like resource gathering games. AI talks some major trash and can be funny at times. Some interesting weapons so far Cons: Combat is brutal the enemies move annoyingly fast and not much variety to them, probably much better with coop. Guns are not very immersive there's no reload and no ammo etc or even modding as of yet on my progression. The ship mining is cool but that seems to be all there is to do with the mining ship. Some ship battles would be nice. Even with the cons of this game I'll have to recommend it, I've been enjoying it and it's definitely something different.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzYFFMmbSjU +Boss Fights + Its Koop too + Performance + Exploring / Adventure Things like Lightning and Jumping Puzzle + U can blow up Walls + Okay Graphics - Missing Salt and Pepper - World feels kinda stiff and empty, or unliving - Crafting Tables mostly dosnt fit into the Sci Fi Space Theme ( Would it not be better to have a fixed Station and everything u need to repair instead of building weird looking Crafting Tables ? )
Nice try for a game indeed. But it feels very on rails. And not so good at it either. To the point it got boring for me.
4 Planets and game over , i thought i would least have some more missions back on other planets and i get the impression only another 2 planets will be added and £24 for a 6 planet not enough game play game is robbery. If i am right about 6 planets then this game is dog crap if im wrong then we will see . This gets a big negative from me right now tho Its also too easy
