I hate to say that i can't recommend this at the moment, although there is a great game underneath it all, the controls whilst not great i could of got used to... but for me the reason i cam refunding is through the headset the game runs in a low resolution and cannot be changed, there are no graphics settings, such a shame as the art work is excellent. I will be buying this again IF they add some graphics settings in to increase resolutions, the Devs dont seem to respond on the discussion page. The hand interaction is also not great. I would have to say wait a bit and see if they do any updates, then purchase it, as it has potential to be a great VR game.
Bottom line up front: Don't buy this until they fix the controller/movement scheme. Kickstarter backer here: This game is not good VR. It's clearly designed around a seated experience, and as such, should not even use motion controllers, only an xbox controller. If you're going to go to the effort of using motion controls, then allow freedom of movement with natural body motion/roomscale. Seriously, crouching as a button? Turning as a button? I can't really even play this game due to the atrocious controls; I have to actively fight my natural inclinations for navigation, and it really takes away from the fun and immersion. If the Dev updates it with real VR and not seated gameplay in mind for the control scheme, I'll update my review. I really want to like this game, so hopefully they take this feedback and fix it to a playable state.
Yes, this game does doesn't have the best VR controls, but if you go past that, the experience is amazing. Interesting story, nice graphics, good acting and decent dialogues. It's not an action game, it's a very cinematic experience where you get to do a few activities. I would suggest it to whoever likes story based games.
Just tried it out and couldn't get out of the tutorial. Just to echo what others have said, the control system is horrible on Vive to the point of it being unplayable. A shame as I was a kickstarter backer and was looking forward to playing this game. Won't touch it again until the controls get a major revamp. In its current state I would not recommended it.
sehr schlechte steuerung hatte gedacht es wird wie bei ( the Galerry ) vr mässig würde es eigentlich sehr gut aussehen nur die steuerung ist so schlecht das mir glatt übel wurde ......
Great VR game! I looked past the negative reviews and gave it a try and am glad I did. The controls have been fixed as far as movement so no reason to not try this game. Good story, graphics, and atmosphere great for Sci Fi fans or anyone really. Recommended!
Review: Loading Human: Chapter 1 ✖️ Steuerung: Absolut frustrierend! 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.
The couple good reviews (and the promo materials) suggested a good story and immersive experience if one played long enough to "get used" to the awful controls. I played to the end and they were totally wrong. It reminds me of the 1st episode of The Gallery or Pollen, some object interactions and background info but no real story. Except implemented horribly (see below). In the Gallery, the devs stayed engaged and Ep 2 brought real story and meaningful interactions. Not so here. Oh there's hints of a true plot and some of the story telling mechanics are kind-of interesting. But ultimately: weak dialog and voice-acting, an over-wrought dystopian setting, awkward pacing and events, and a plot the seems to have been based on a techno-babble generator. And gameplay that's a combination of hidden object (HOG) and assembling IKEA furniture. Gfx are OK but not great. And the human visuals are decidedly off. So, most of the reviews complain about the bad controls. And they were totally right and I should have listened. It's not the usual teleport vs free-motion debate. It's a "VR" game that requires you to set rigidly place and look directly forward. A ridiculously slow sidestep and lack of positional headset and body movement means you have to walk on a grid at angles with your true objective. While the Touch controllers are positional in the game, the avatar has and insanely narrow body and short arms. Even telling it I was 8 inches taller than I didn't get more than 75% of my actual arm length. And the trigger points for interaction were small and not in the natural place but above or to the side. And devs clearly abandoned this shortly after release.
1/10 This has the most appalling locomotion system possible. It is completely unplayable. Other that trusting us players to turn the character by turning our bodies (the thing VR was made for). THe developers expect us to turn our bodies using a controller and move our head using HMD. The result is grotesque. DEVS: at least play your game just once before releasing it. It doesn't matter what's good in a game if you can't get the basics right.
The game has some great story telling and narrative so far. The controls takes a bit of time getting use too. Environments are pretty detailed with some nice scenary. Moving outside of your character blurs the screen, so you can't physcially walk around in room scale. Overall, I'm enjoying the experience so far. In my opinion its more polished than most of the Vive titles so far. Brings something different to the table to.
