What an experience! This was the first project I have ever had the pleasure of working on and to have it release fully on Steam is amazing! It was so much fun not only to work on with the team, but also to play. The atmosphere and experience overall came out great and it felt really enjoyable and immersive, definitely scary as well! I loved the puzzles to it along with listening to the tapes and letters within the environment, I think everything turned out great!
Sadly I choose death right now. I really enjoyed this game at the beginning. It has the right vibes for a Saw/Cat & Mouse experience but once you reach the first clown there are bad bugs here that need to be addressed. You will have to do some workarounds to get to the next area called "The Defensive" and when you get here there are so many issues on the level it is impossible to proceed further. It needs a lot of work. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I actually made it past the buggy "The Defensive" after doing everything and having the exit key but not being able to unlock the door. After several times coming back it decided to unlock on its own. After "The Defensive" they automatically gave me the key to somehow quickly leave the level. I explored it all just to check it out and found that the door you started with on this level is locked. If you find a key to unlock it and open the door you will find it takes you outside of the map of the game and you will fall to your death for infinity. That's not the worst part of the game. That is waiting for you in "The Escape" the final level!!! You may unlock the 3 digit door and signal an ending but this did not happen the first time. Instead you will see there is a locked door behind it (along with a missing ceiling they forgot to add to the game) leading you with a task of checking out the air duct. If you get into the air duct and make it to the end.......the exit point is unfinished. You will step outside of the map and fall to your death for infinity. There is no way to finish the game!!!!!!! Live or Die? Die!!!!!!! Again and again and again and again............ BUT WAIT....you may get lucky by just starting the level and going straight for the air duct bypassing whatever bug prevented you the last time for success and IT WORKS (sometimes)!! If you want to check out the key code ending you will need to start from the beginning of the level and just go straight to the door and type in the code which can trigger the end or if you explore the area to get the code and type it in you will enter a room with a locked door that has no key because you were never meant to enter here. What a buggy mess this game has been......... I will leave you with one final warning if you dare to make it to the very best end. Bring a lot of bullets or an axe. The final level leaves you with absolutely ZERO ammo/weapons/etc. to pick up. Oh, and if you do manage to get to that final door it doesn't open or if you die and have to restart the level it takes away all your items. Enjoy!!!!! UPDATE: 11/20/2022 - I was able to now finish the game!! There were still a few small cosmetic issues with the final level but nothing that will stop you from at least finishing it. As the developer stated they are still working on the game. When the game is fully ironed out I will likely start fresh and play from the beginning and will update the review accordingly.
I tried to get into this game for a half hour but for the life of me I couldn't get into it and kept dying. Very annoying. I am a horror game Vet but just couldn't get into this one at all. There are some creepy environments but the game is too difficult and the stealth sections are absolutely brutal.
yeah, i think i just have fears of balloons and clowns mane. So very solid spook.
If you like survival horror games, you will be in for a treat when you play Live or Die. The use of music and sound effects are well done here to foreshadow important events in the game. This is the first game in a long time where I got jump scared at the most inopportune times. Paying attention to the surroundings and what's around you will help you out big time. You must also have an attention to detail to find Easter eggs that will make your experience more enjoyable. This game even gave me an urge to play it in the dark for a more immersive experience, and I haven't played a game like this since Resident Evil 4. I've enjoyed this game, but I hate to admit that I can't play this right before going to bed! Enjoy the ride when you play Live or Die, but be prepared to get scared when you least expect it!
Not my game.
overall nice game but not worth the money because it crashed on me and my brother i would recommend fixing it and possibly having any other bug issues fixed for that reason
