Simple enough tactical game with a straight forward story mode. Nothing crazy out of the ordinary mechanic and story wise either. It is currently rather short but the pacing is done pretty well! Can say worth it on sale for sure for a fun little game for a casual tactic player. It does have multiple modes to offer which is nice but currently I cannot recommend the roguelite mode until that injury mechanic is changed. Currently it makes it so whenever a unit is put to half health they become injured. Injured makes it so your max health is halved. This makes healing at a normal time pointless since once you reach half health you are stuck there until you rest at an inn. Injury should be something they receive after combat if they have received more than half damage or something because currently it hinders any healing tactics by forcing early use or getting one shotted.
Excessively slow, even for a turn based game. Too many button clicks required to do anything. Entirely unoriginal. Skip it.
No es un mal juego, solamente es un juego bastante sencillo en término de historia y estrategia.
The charming art style, immersive soundtrack, and compelling narrative add to its brilliance. With polished controls and active developer support, it's a gem for tactical RPG enthusiasts. Replay value is high, and future updates promise more excitement. If you love strategic gaming, this is a must-play on Steam!
I really didn't enjoy it that much, it's not bad, but I wouldn't recommend it. The story is short and kinda generic, I don't know if there is going to be more story though. I really disliked the fact that you can't see the enemies' movement range or abilities (I don't know if they get randomized for every battle or only for specific modes). You can't block or be blocked by enemies, you just go through them and they go through your characters. Hit percentages seems to be a lie, I have missed several skills with 88% chance of hitting a few times in a row, which gets really frustrating (one time I failed to hit an enemy 5 times in a row with 76% chance of hitting them). I know the odds are low but they seemed to be off. Adventure mode was way too long I think, I spent more time doing a run there than going through story mode. Once you improve and max your characters there is nothing else to spend your money on except items (which I never used) or maybe sleep or readjust your skills (which I really didn't change once I was set on a specific build which I liked). Tactician mode was manageable except for a couple of fights in which it feels REALLY stacked against you (more specifically the one where you have 1 character against 6, your character is "overpowered"). I only won that because I got lucky with a kill and then the enemies didn't come to kill me, so I stayed back healing up slowly and then trying to go for a kill, rinse and repeat. I haven't tried online or the map builder, and I don't think I will.
This game was surprise fun for me. Simple but solid tactics with a fairly short but quality campaign. Had lots of modes that I didn't get into but was worth it just for the campaign.
nice game with interesting mechanics
Played through the Story mode, and it's pretty good! It took about 6 hours to finish, and I beat most fights on the first try. (I'm comfortable with RPG and strategy games already, for what it's worth, and I turned on the "Fast Mode" option a few stages in.) I have not messed with Adventure (roguelike) and Tactician (puzzle / time trial) mode, as they don't interest me as much. Everything is serviceable. The art is fine, the writing is fine, the story is fine (but feels incomplete at the end), and the gameplay is simplified for the genre but pretty good. It's interesting that there is no leveling up or changes to character abilities in story mode. Once you realize how to change a unit's ability loadout, you have access to all 8 abilities (unique per character) and can pick 4 of them each fight. I think this actually works fine for a short game like this that seems more interested in how you use your party than in how you build it. Overall, I'm pretty impressed! The credits only show a dozen or so people, and the results are respectable. Here are the negatives, in my opinion: - The music loops a little too quickly, and I eventually turned it way down. - Some battles don't show particular characters in the list, so you can't use them even though they're with you in the story. I'm guessing this was done for balance reasons, but it is frustrating to think, "Oh, the archer would be great on this stage," only to not be allowed to use that character. - The number of characters you can deploy in each battle varies and is limited in ways that probably fit the intended difficulty of the encounter but don't make sense in the story. This is common in tactical RPGs, but I still don't like it. - Sometimes, a character would deploy with a different ability set than last time, even without me changing it. I can't tell if this is a bug or if I just hit the random button and forgot. - Selecting units or targets frequently requires rotating the camera even when it feels like it shouldn't because they're only partially obscured. The game feels generally a bit clunky to play. I'd give the game a B- based on just the story mode. I did appreciate that it was an inexpensive game I could play in a day, but I think the non-sale price is a bit high unless you're interested in multiple game modes and will get more out of it.
