Choose a colorful house, pick an adorable decorated room and search for the requested objects. Take your time, relax and enjoy the serene surroundings! Little Rooms by Developer CCS Explore six very different colorful houses, search each nicely decorated room using four different game modes. Visit bedrooms, kitchens, gardens, reading rooms and various others. There are short animated loading screens to amuse you while you briefly wait. Pick a house, choose a room to search. Four Different Search Options: * Search: Find 3 of the Same Objects. * Collection: Find a List of Items Around the Room. * Riddle: Unravel a Riddle to Find a Specific Item. * Night Shift: Find 3 Moving Ghosts with your Flashlight. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341945138 When you are finished finding all the requested items, you will unlock a special game mode, "The Golden Mail." There is one per room, so you have six per house to find. Once you unlock all the rooms, you can go to the front of the house and put your cursor over the mailbox. That will show you which rooms you have found the "golden mail" and which rooms you need to explore further. Those with a white floating rectangle haven't been found yet. Once found, it will turn into a gold floating rectangle. Look for a tiny golden piece hidden in each room of every house. When looking for the Golden Mail, I chose Collection, then Start ,so I would have a more unobstructed area to search for it. Extra features: * Jukebox: Control Music and Discover Homemade Playlist. * Weather System: Decide if you want Rain, Sun, Clouds or Night. * Unlocked All Rooms in the House? You Unlocked "The Golden Mail!" https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341945079 Pros: * Single-Player * Family Sharing * 23 Achievements * No Issues using Windows 11 Cons: * No Trading Cards * Profile Features Limited https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341944996 Rating: 9/10 Final Thoughts: Adorable game sure to amuse both young and old. Be forewarned that once you start, you won't want to stop! There were some minor issues upon release but the developer quickly fixed them. Don't you wish all developers were like that? The developer made great choices in selecting the various music! I completed the game and got all achievements, so they are all doable! Pick this little gem up and treat yourself to a fun, relaxing, stress free game! Little Rooms is a cozy, cute, hidden object game developed and published by CCS. Since there is no story here, I'll skip ahead to the gameplay. When you start up the game, you can choose 1 of 6 color-themed houses. Each house has 6 rooms although only 1 room will be available at the start. In each room, there are 4 different hidden object games: search (where you have to find 3 of the same item), collectibles (where you search for all the requested items), riddle (where you have to figure out the answer to a riddle), and night mode (where you have to find 3 moving ghosts in the dark). Successfully completing each game earns you 1 star. Earning a prerequisite number of stars unlocks other rooms in the house. After you unlock all of the rooms, mail mode is available in which there is 1 orange envelope hidden in each room (but you can find the envelopes before mail mode is unlocked). There is a relaxing, soothing soundtrack as well as plenty of Steam achievements, but the latter won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". Having gone over the gameplay, I'll get to my thoughts. Little Rooms caught my attention when I saw it available on Steam, and the publisher was very kind to send over a review copy. Even though it doesn't have a story, there's no need for one, as the main heart of the game is its gameplay. I liked getting to search each room and playing the different hidden object games. There's definitely more variety compared to your typical HOG. My personal favorite game would be the riddle ones. Although most of the riddles are quite doable to solve, a few can be cryptic. Still, I like that you need to think a bit through them. I did have the occasional problem where the game wouldn't register my clicks on items although I noticed that for a few items, they have to be clicked in very specific places. It's a bit annoying, but hopefully, this will be patched. In regards to the letters, a few can be quite elusive to find, almost appearing invisible, and there isn't a hint option in case you have trouble finding items. Also, the game only runs in full screen mode. It's a personal preference, but I like it when you can choose between having windowed or full screen mode. All of the achievements are obtainable, though, at the time of this review. In regards to the art, I love the 3-D style that it has. It makes the rooms feel alive. The colors are chosen well, for the most part. The only house that I'm not a fan of is the pink house, but that's probably because I'm not a fan of the color pink. It can be eye-straining at times. XD Otherwise, I liked the appearances of the houses, and here are my favorites: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341550037 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341550258 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3341550169 The music is great to listen to. The tracks have those lo-fi beats, and they give off relaxing, soothing vibes. All of them are instrumental, but there's enough variety so that you can choose the tracks you want to listen to while you're searching rooms for those items. You can even adjust the music volume while in-game, which is a good feature. Overall, would I recommend Little Rooms? If you enjoy hidden object and cozy, cute games and want to play them without the unnecessary stress of a timer, I think you'll enjoy this game. It's a beautiful, soothing game that has gone under the radar among the many recent games in those genres, but I found it to be very fun. Also, the devs are continually updating the game, which I totally respect. For the asking price, I think it's worth it for the time and effort that was put into developing the game. Granted, it took me fewer than 2.5 hours to obtain all of the achievements and earn all the stars and such. However, if you're only looking to get the achievements, it may take way less time. Finally, I want to give a major thank you to CCS for the review copy. Little Rooms is quite the hidden gem, and I hope that more people will take the time to check it out. ^^
For more detailed, fully complete, high quality reviews like this, please follow The Introverted Gamer, prioritizing heart and soul always. ^^
PRO - different take (but also kinda childish) , nice art style , many houses lots of rooms NEUTRAL - easy and very repetitive CONS - [strike] many bugs , sometimes objects you click do not register , bugged achievements [/strike] a little overpriced in my opinion (finished it in around 2 hours) EDIT : dev fixed all issues and bugs found in the game !!! and now game is better and enjoyable
As someone who loved A Little to the Left and Unpacking, there is no challenge to be had in this game, only tedium. Hidden search games are supposed to be about finding objects, not just clicking on 5 of the 10 items that are plainly visible. The music would at least be pretty, were it not for its tendency to randomly switch mid song as though someone hit the skip button. Having to reload the room after every 5 second challenge got old fast.
Little Rooms is so cosy and cute! Fairly simple gameplay, but the cute graphics make it a fun experience for all players. From the aesthetically decorated rooms, calming and cosy music to the cute little ghosts to hunt at night, every aspect of playing Little Rooms is so darling. (Think Unpacking, but instead of placing cute objects, you find already placed cute objects.) I want to recommend this game to every cosy game lover everywhere!!
Nice short cozy HOG with a lot of different little rooms. There are different game modes and if you don't like one, you can skip it and still unlock everything and get 100% steam achievments. Difficulty is child-friendly, so if you usually solve 500 pieces mono-black jigsaw puzzles while doing a handstand, this game might be not for you. But you can relax in this game with any age. The soundtrack is relaxing and you can skip to the next song anytime. The only thing i did not like was the loading screen. You only see it for a second and there are different versions, but when you finish a challenge in 5 seconds and then see the loading screen again, it disrupts the flow a little bit. All in all great game to take a short break and relax
Little Rooms is a charming hidden object game featuring four different modes for each room. You can play at your own pace, and what's great is that you're not forced to complete every mode to unlock new rooms. I personally enjoy playing through all the modes, but I love how the game gives you the freedom to explore only the content you want without holding back your progress. It's a refreshing change from games that push you to finish every single challenge just to move forward.
Little rooms is super casual and I like it. It's exactly what you are expecting from the store page. This is not a big deal but if you are super impatient you should know this game has loading times between very simple screens. I think it's fine but I could see it bothering people. There is a ton of content. Every room in the place has 4 challenges and there rooms are different when you change the time for the house. So room 1 has 4 challenges on the red house setting the. 4 challenges on orange then 4 on blue and so on. There is a ton of content. If you want a game to play when. You are not in the mood for other stuff this is a good choice. I am happy to have it. I cannot stress enough though how casual this game is. Don't buy it if you are seeking challenge.
Cute game! It's definitely not difficult but a very nice relaxing game. There were bugs but the developer responded quickly and fixed them. Nice to see from a developer. I also liked he fact that each room had four play options, which is different than most seek-and-find games nowadays.
Petit moment de détente a porté de tous. Venez rechercher des petits objets bien cachés , tout en profitant de belles mélodies , et un graphisme tout mignon. Le jeux peut être fait sans être un pro de l'anglais , mais aussi est très accessible pour les enfants.
