Nice, but very short game. More levels and a bit of complexity are needed: defense is stronger than offense, rock-paper-scissors mechanics.
Very cute fun game to pass the time. Requires a lot of clicking thought.
Little Kingdoms is a fun small scale strategy game with a short 20 level story mode and (as far as I know) infinite Dynasty mode where you try to take over each map through military dominance. Every engagement is decided purely by numbers, for example if 5 guys attack a village with 4 defenders the 5 will win. However if you haven't built a large force yet (every level starts with one or two controlled territories, both AI and player armies rapidly grow with each victory) smart timing can allow you to knock out opponents early with little risk of consequence, this is the strategy part. The AI seems to be on the border between simple and smart, it can simultaneously send units to die with no chance of victory against each other, and dominate the battlefield with instant deployments as only a computer can (player forces are manually sent out from selected territories). I still can't beat level 10 with a Steam Deck and had to progress with a mouse on my PC, as the complexity of maps increases so too does the speed required from the player. All in all, if this is your kind of vibe it's great (I love it), if you prefer grand strategy or any kind of management this probably isn't your cup of tea in its current state.

This has a nice nostalgic element for me, from the days of the Amiga, in "Kingdoms of England". Some pleasant music, great day/night cycles and shadowing, with some tricky maps, and I've hardly got into it, but plan to. Thank you, Devs.
