Little Farm

Got it on a sale, not what I expected. Thought it would be some strategy, or resource mngmnt, instead it's just 1 puzzle. Over and over. No changes, no new elements (yet), got boring really fast.

Do not get this for $10. It's worth about $1.

[b]Pros[/b] + Simple casual fun [b]Cons[/b] - Dated - Annoying minigames - Repetitive [h1]Overview[/h1] Little Farm is a simple arcade puzzle game that's pretty old at this point and did not age well. Each level consists of different shaped square grids with new levels giving you more weirdly shaped fields making things more difficult. To pass a level you need to draw squares of matching crops to harvest them and fill the waiting trucks before the timer runs out. There are about 80 levels in total and even though each level is different the gameplay does get pretty repetitive. Playing through levels also gain you money that can be spent in the shop for upgrades to make things easier. There are also bonus rounds that are minigames and these give you extra cash but are kind of annoying to do. You won't really need to hoard money since you'll end up with way more than you need even after buying all upgrades in the shop. The graphics and music are nothing special but they aren't bad in any way, it's good enough for what it is. If you don't mind or are looking for a simple casual arcade style puzzle game then this might fit the bill. It's good to play in small bouts, maybe just a few levels each session to not burn out from the repetitive gameplay. My rating 3/10, don't bother

If it was possible I would give this game an even sign. It is not all bad, but not quite up my alley. It is a kind of match-4-farming-simulator, where the crops you can plant on your fields determine how much money you get, The good: Simple controls, acceptable mouse reaction times. Feels a bit clunky at times, but okay overall. Easy color scheme - well, at least for me. Colors and shapes tend to move quickly when you´re playing, so at times, a colorblind mode might make things easier . Things that just are: Soundtrack. Nothing remarkable, but also not annoying after five minutes. I generally prefer playing without sound if sound is not crucial, so that is nothing that would bother me. Upgrade shop - for the money you earn ingame. Prices seem reasonable, and there is no premium currency, so yay to that one. What annoys me: Mini games with stupid rules that are crucial if you want to progress - if they would at least be cool! Ever more stuff that needs to be clicked, and fast, to fill up trucks for market... Freeplay mode is locked until after storyline completes The oil digging minigame. One turret after every four levels, for bonus cash - why? Why does oil have to be a thing in a farming game?!? Because Texas, or... I just dont get it.

If you need a break from all of the action titles, or you are just a casual player who want to relax while playing, Little Farm is a great choice. Maybe it's kinda too expensive for my taste, but you can find it sometimes in cheap bundles, so why not.
