Lionfish Reef Patrol is an educational game that puts you into the shoes (or flippers) of a scuba diver who is collecting lionfish from destroying the coral reefs. Lionfish eat everything that they can fit into their mouths and that their stomachs can handle. Lionfish can eat prey over half the size of their own body as long as it will fit into their mouths. ... The native species that invasive lionfish are feeding upon do not recognize lionfish as a predator and as a result do not flee. Please ensure you read the faqs in this game and understand before going into it, this is more of an educational purpose game. The game has great audio effects that make you feel like you are underwater & the post processing used to give it that underwater effect is also very good. I played through all three of the levels in here and by far my favourite was the sunken seaplane as I was able to swim through that & explore around the area. Even if you don't feel like hunting lionfish & just want to take a relaxing scuba around the great environments, this game will please you. Great little game, and also it's free! Thank you Dev's

Everything about this game I did not find very impressive. There is no tutorial and shows you what keys to use. The graphics are sub-par; the fish don't even move! Yet in one level for some reason there is a shark trying to eat you, the only thing that moves. Trying to gather the catfish is poorly developed as I try to stab them, I'm lucky if I get it in the first few times. Level are very small and this game seems more like a small swimming simulator than anything else. The underwater noises used for the game, sounds nothing like scuba diving. This was a good educational game, and despite its graphical limitations, provides useful insight into the world of ocean preservation.

Although I wasn't any good at this, I'm really in love with the concept. You swim around one of three levels, trying to avoid sharks that smell your catch, and to nab lionfish you then put in your zookeeper. Don't feel too bad for the lionfish though, they are invasive and destroying the areas you find them in. They have a little animation to them which is nice and it's overall a really nice diving and conservation game. To the devs: could I suggest an option to make the sights green? I have low vision and they disappeared a lot of the time for me. Also, are the sharks supposed to be that aggressive? I got nommed repeatedly, even with no catch. Inside the ship, hiding under objects. I tried fighting them off with the spear and that did not end well. Other than that, great game.

This is possibly the greatest game on steam.
