About
Explore countless underground dungeons and face a variety of creatures from European folklore. Help to rebuild Sigiswal using the upgrade system, which unlocks advantages and new areas in the village. Face your opponents with weapons of your choice, which allow different fighting styles and special attacks. A roguelite action RPG with lots of exploration, fast and tactical hack'n'slay battles and treacherous traps. And mountain devils - they're just everywhere!
Embark on a dangerous journey where every defeat has its price. Do you hate losing? Then choose your path carefully, because death will take your hard-earned loot! And as if that wasn't enough, the rune curse increases with every fatal exit, which can cost your hero valuable bonuses.
Team up with friends and explore the underground in multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. Good friends share everything, so why not life points? One life bar for all comrades-in-arms, because real friends fight through thick and thin. Or do they?
Lindwyrm offers you a selection of weapons that enable different attacks. Choose how you want to fight. Will it be the sword or the bow today? Find your style and let your hero shine!

Evil lurks in the Underground... and with it deadly traps, barricades and puzzles that can thoroughly spoil a quick passage. Jump over dangerous ravines, find secret rooms and navigate through swinging axes. Just the normal everyday madness.
Help the villagers rebuild Sigiswal. In the Underground you will find many materials that are urgently needed. The more the village recovers, the more quests, stores and other bonuses you can unlock. You choose what is rebuilt and when, giving Sigiswal your own touch.

Use the power of the ancient runes to improve your hero. You can unlock boosts on the rune board and activate effect runes that you find in the Underground. The additional effects offer you useful and powerful advantages in three categories, whose influence on the battle should not be underestimated. But be careful! If you die, the rune curse will sweep across the board and take away your effects. In addition, each death blocks an effect slot, meaning you can activate fewer effects.

Do you want to venture underground with caution or take full risk? No problem! Lindwyrm offers three difficulty levels, allowing you to decide how tough the challenge should be. The higher the level, the more damage you can take, but you also get more loot. At the hardcore level, one wrong step can be your last, and you must start again with a new hero.

Once upon a time, evil sorcerers tormented people day in and day out and made their lives more difficult. The terror was so great that people began to fight back and sent out heroes to drive the sorcerers underground.
Water under the bridge, all peaceful. At least that's how the young people in Sigiswal see it, while the elders still tell the old stories, filled with fear. But then the earth shakes and creepy monsters emerge from every crevice. When you reach the shores of the village, the whole place is in ruins. Countless people are missing and the monsters underground will not rest.
Will you help the villagers and venture into the depths? And where are all the heroes when you need them?
Lindwyrm’s use of German and European creatures and hero tales offer a change from the usual fantasy worlds and will retell the well-known and the forgotten stories.

THANK YOU for your support for MAC Gaming. Played this on a Macbook Pro from 2014 and it played pretty well on this old thing. Love the level design, and support for both Controller and Keyboard/Mouse. I am about an Hour in at this point and i am hooked. Thanks again for supporting Mac Users

I've been playing this game since it was in the closed alpha, and it's only shown improvement. If you have ideas for improvement, be sure to join Ghostwhale Games' Discord server - the team is amazingly responsive.

A fun hack and slash rougelite rpg with cool town building elements/meta progression and some other interesting stuff. Devs have been very responsive so far in the discord and I hope to see some of the more annoying bugs patched out soon, especially the belt bug which destroys ALL your gold when selling or dismantling a belt. From a design standpoint, my two biggest gripes so far are: 1) Lack of variety in the maps in any given biome 2) Only 3 biomes 3) The platforming seems brutally punishing compared to combat 1 and 2 are reasonable considering it just launched in EA. To elaborate on 3, getting into a tough fight you feel like you have some ways to battle out of it. You've got health potions, special attacks, careful dodging and blocks, all around fun and tactical combat. But when all your non-equipped gear gets wiped out on any death, missing a single jump means your whole run is down the tubes. You have chances to play out of combat trouble but no chance to play out of a mistimed platform jump. It just seems way way way more punishing to an insane degree. I think a still punishing but not truly insta-death platforming penalty might make things feel more fair in the balance of fighting vs. jumping. Maybe falling eats x% of your potion charges, or you have like 3 falls in a stage before you wipe. Just something. I can get gear to help my survivability, but all that means nothing if i misjudge a dash after a jump, or get stuck on a piece of terrain when trying to doge a trap while on a moving platform. Overall I still recommend this assuming that the devs will keep up with feedback and bugfixes as it seems they will. I've had a lot of fun in my time despite the few frustrations, and it scratches a very particular itch.
Liking the game, however, if you DC or get an error mid run and you're the host, you lose everything. We had some lizardmen spawn on us after a monster 2 hour run. Game shot up an error. Relaunch the game and not only did we lose everything we had, but it fully reset us back to before the run, we kept no upgrades, no gold, no resources, no runes. Two full hours gone. Games good, please work on this. At the very least I should have had the gold and resources, obviously in a perfect world we would resume the run but I understand that probably takes a little more effort. I recommend at a minimum if you DC or crash they treat it as a TP to town or something. Thanks for reading.
in the 2 and a half hours ive played ive died to - flame throwers - pit traps - blades - hidden holes in water rooms - lava i love the dungeons and i love the deadly traps. it feels good going through them and ill get some materials to the poor villagers eventually. just one more room i swear and i then fall down a pit trap again ...
My opinion so far; - The platforming was satisfying - Love the gameplay loop - The ice map tile looks good, the lava map too dark imo - Nice theme & artstyle - The developer was communicative - The NPC looks great My suggestion; - More variation for maps, roguelike elements - Some narrative or explanation text need to be more legible Suggestion for the roguelike elements - Give player choices (like wanna take this special challenge, etc) - Randomize events I think this game has great potential, looking forward for the development
I have been around since closed alpha, the journey the game took is incredible. By the time I write this review, it is still in early access (so please be aware that you might encounter bugs, which you can record through the official discord: https://discord.com/invite/rnMynbRpcC), and the team is working hard to improve the game, which is clearly visible. The storyline is amazing, there are tons of features like runes to upgrade. town to evolve along with special perks you can unlock with it. There are no predefined classes, you can go with whatever you want just by changing the weapon, you can go with staff, dagger, bow, sword, spear, hammer, all with unique abilities, dash and jump attacks. With 3 different difficulties you surely will have fun, for beginners the easy mode, for players who likes challenges the hardcore mode (where you actually lose your entire character if you die, so be careful :D) If you are looking for a fun rougelike arpg, this game will give you all.
looks and feels like a game from 15 years ago. Sluggish and dull combat and boring "puzzling". And somehow really ressource dependend
As someone who has followed the game since the early 'creation', aswell as Demos, Pit challenge etc. I have to say that this game is unique in its own way. It combines alot of different genres, such as dungeon crawler, or even some hint of an RPG. Find items, equip them. Find better items. fight bosses. Die. retry. Different weapons which is that "RPG"-hint that i mentioned. equip a staff and be a wizard. equip daggers and hit fast, and more. I don't know how many hours I have put in the Demo of the game, but all I can say that it was totally worth it.
