Imagine you're playing an Archer. Imagine you have limited Arrows. Now imagine that every attack and skill consumes arrows. Imagine that you only get one arrow per enemy killed. To craft more arrows, you have to use food. Now imagine that everything else, like casting skills, costs food too. As archer you're forced to rely on Melee to conserve ammo. Who the ♥♥♥♥ came up with this?
Maybe just the wrong game for me. I dont mind the janky gameplay, had worse. You start the game there are so many hurdles and no reward Lots of unfinished stuff, bad and unclear descriptions, "bad" descisions in design. Its fine for a amateur indi game.
Bought 3 copies for my brothers and I. Going pretty well. Will update after more time. After clearing and getting a hang of the game its a for sure buy at this price. Gameplay is smooth enough to manage on any PC so far. The town interface is interesting and fun to go through. Managing your stuff is simple and straight forward. Then you can just hop right back into the dungeon. Movement isnt bad, there is unit collision that could eventually use some tuning but its in the right direction so far. The classes are cool and easy enough to understand. You are limited at the moment and Im hoping to see eventually more skills to switch to even if there is a cap to how many you can have. Unlocking Rogue and Knight tho seem a bit tough and out of reach for me. At least rogue isnt too bad, knight however seems pretty far off. Ill update after further grinding. Items/Gear/Consumables etc all are pretty well done, detailed, worth reading. little jokes and fun in some. All in all a great way to spend some time with friends, or add a few bots and get that grind out.
I love this game but it has one major issue that makes it extremely hard to get into. Normal mode is required to progress. The game is insanely fun on hard but on normal everything is too easy and not a challenge at all. So the early game feels super super grindy with very little payoff. They can fix this by giving us a downgrade system for red epu cores turning into blue or just letting red epus work as blue for the sake of upgrades.
Fun with free and various Unity assets inside the game :D. Game mechanics is also addicted and easy to replay to keep player stronger. Recommend for multiplayer online.
I really want to like this game. The idea is fun. The implementation is pure crap. The controls are way too clunky, the aiming is next to none. None of the controls are intuitive, and even when you figure them out they don't work. There is such a delay from input to output that you have to have future site to hit anything. If you are using a controller, prepare for getting stuck in a menu mid fight and all of your hot keys for items being undone. If that happens, just die and start over, or get really good with navigating a menu while getting your ♥♥♥♥ pushed in. Movement is clunky and worse than most NES games I played in the 80s. I really hope they make this game better with patches, but it doesn't seem they are focused on game play, just avatars. Save your money for now, unless you like clunky glitch gameplay.
a little jank at first, but get past a few attempts and it starts opening up, really fun with friends!
Playing this game with a decent crew is so much fun, highly recommend if you have a group looking for a new game. It was very refreshing. The perfect amount of difficulty, gameplay is fun, bosses are fun, and epic loot. 10/10
gauntlet but without the rage
ice skating.
