Liminal is a mind-bending puzzle game where every door is a change in perspective and destination.

As a fan of Portal and similar puzzle games, I really wanted to like this. The concept is good and I really like the atmosphere, however the game itself is glitchy as all get-out. I can't tell you how many times I clipped through walls and just floated through space as the game didn't recognize I had fallen out of bounds. At one point I ended up in what I think may have been a debug room that was nothing but doors on every single wall and the only way I could escape was by finding the one door that led to my demise. The collectible achievements don't work after the second item, even after deleting my save and restarting completely. Cutscenes, although short, cannot be skipped and play every single time you enter a given area. If these things were fixed, this has potential to be a really great game, however from what it looks like on the discussion forums, this game hasn't seen any response from the developer in about a year now. Might be a lost cause.
Very bad game. To put it simply, the mechanics are an absolute mess and the physics are disorienting to say the least. The portals are barely labeled so it's easy to get stuck for minutes on end just in a single room. I thought it would be a fun puzzle game like Portal... (which it shamefully fails to recreate). But no, instead it's just a lame, buggy, and overall bland piece of ♥♥♥♥ that not even someone in solitary confinement who was only allowed to play this game would enjoy. DO NOT PLAY THIS

Honestly, I actually enjoyed this little game. It isn't anything revolutionary, but for a short and free indie game, it's not bad. It does have some issues, mainly that it's pretty janky and some achievements are bugged, meaning you have to manually obtain them. The puzzles themselves weren't hard, but the game does have one major issue. It has terrible guiding skills for the player. It starts off pretty hand-holdy and has a cutscene for every action to show what you have to do. This isn't bad, a lot of games start off like that to get the player into the swing of things, but that's the only guide it does. After the first few cutscenes in the first puzzle, the game stops guiding you and forces you to learn as you go. I think it was not the best choice to do that, but it's fine. The game also doesn't have a saving feature in any way, meaning that you have to go through a level select instead of pressing continue. The only other issue is that the game doesn't really seem to have a story of any kind, only that you're going around and using the little robot things to open doors. I didn't even know that the plan was to defeat the giant robot until I already defeated it and beat the game. I think over all, the main issue of the game is that it struggles to communicate with the player. But besides those issues, I actually really enjoyed this game. It was pretty simple and only really got hard at the final puzzle. The art style and aesthetic of the game is beautiful, being a sci-fi neon robot look to everything. If you have a spare hour and want to play a semi-hard puzzle game, then get this game. It's free and only a little janky.
gime me krub pls, i struck in sven minite
stuck almost immediately very confusing
I finished this game after about an hour. The highest screen resolution is full hd (1920x1080) which was even outdated in 2018 when the game came out. Also it is capped at 30 fps which really hurt my eyes. The character movement is really ... bad. You can't run, jumping feels like as if you were stuck in pudding. The few puzzles were quite entertaining but at the same time the rotation of the three dimensions felt a bit weird but you get used to it. The audio is very repetitive and quickly gets annoying. Also the last puzzle was really hard compared to the few before. It took me half the play time to reach the final puzzle and the other half to finish the final puzzle. I appreciate the idea behind the game but the state it is in doesn't really justify a recommendation.
This game is great! Overall this game is a good game to play, I found some glitches, but I do not know how to solve the last room.
It has potential. It's a short puzzle game in a similar vein to portal. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I've been interested in the trend of liminal spaces. Liminal spaces are "a location which is a transition between two other locations, or states of being". I stumbled upon this game by accident because of that, and while this doesn't really seem to fit with that theme that I was expecting, it was still a minimalist science fiction world that I wanted to get sucked into. It seems a little bit glitchy still, it wasn't clear at first which doors could be opened and which couldn't, and the last puzzle seemed impossible to the point that I had to look in the discussions to complete it, but since this is in early access they have potential to improve it into something really cool.
