"Liminal" was a not unreasonable, if minimalistic puzzle game that unfortunately was never completed, and just joins the trashheap of abandoned and incomplete games polluting Steam. The developers abandoned this 6 years and 4 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

abandoned puzzle game focused around portal mechanics that runs at 30fps.
This game is cool. It's kinda like portal but with that V I B E

I absolutely love this game. Sometimes its not entirely clear what to do with game elements (like the little cube guys) but it's a lot like Portal, where you have to figure things out on your own. In fact it reminds me of a cross between Antichamber and Portal with a cyberpunk aesthetic. It reminds me of something else but I can't quite remember exactly what... there was another game I played once with *very* similar mechanics (portal doors and swapping gravity). Game needs to come with a soundtrack download when it has a full release. GAME IS EXTREMELY DISORIENTING so people who are uncomfortable with a game that basically says "screw gravity." There are some glitching textures (I found a wall that doesn't have clipping applied to it, the wall with the cube on the floor in the first room with three cubes), but otherwise a game I would be happy to buy once it fully releases. I consider myself pretty ok with "dizzying" games but this game is impossible to play for more than 30-45 minutes without you feeling super dizzy. I suppose that is a good thing. But I adore this game. It is extremely fun and I 10/10 recommend it (if you can handle the world going topsy turvy). One thing I recommend to the devs is that they should make it clear what you need to do (or rather don't need to do) with the little cube things. They look as if you're supposed to pick them up or something, and it's actually weirdly difficult to jump on top of them. I stopped a little after the three-cube room for now, but I will definitely continue to play later. Definitely one of my favorite puzzle games I've ever played, and I've played a lot of puzzle games.
not bad - just not quite what i thought it would be but that's my fault for judging a game by its title rather than its content. This is something akin to a cyberpunk/vaporware-styled Portal-Puzzler more than neon-tainted backrooms (which what i thought it would be based on screenshots and title). Although i love puzzles and love to watch people play puzzle games - i suck at them and thus cannot really give this game a review regarding its quality. all of that being said, for a free game - it definitely plays/feels/looks like one of the better ones.
