What a nice little Backrooms/liminal spaces game that totally flew under my radar! It's not really scary, but it definitely has its creepy moments, which is exactly what I look for in these types of games. Worth picking up especially for the price. Definitely check it out!
Very cool take on the backrooms and liminal spaces. I hope to see more levels added, but the game in its current state it still really enjoyable. Definitely in the upper tier of the walking sim / backrooms / liminal space genre.
LOVE this game so much. After playing most of the major backrooms titles out there, I love the sorta "cozy" vibe this one has. The best way i can describe the feeling of this game is like me being a kid again on my grandmas computer playing a game i dont fully understand and I love it. Everything in this game feels intentional, even the graphics dont feel like they're just there to be there, it all adds something to the overall experience. I love that the levels all kinda blend together and you dont really know where you'll end up next like a true backrooms experience. Alsop surprised by the size of the levels as well. This is one of the few liminal/backrooms games that gave me that true deep nostalgic feeling and i highly recommend it.
Love all the levels available
Amazing game, definitely worth playing, very fun puzzle and the levels are very cool and different from eachother with cool achievements, really enjoyed getting through the first few levels, and i like that its not a quick game very sick 10/10
Really well made with a unique art style :D
It's been a wonderful experience playing the full game upon release after game testing Liminal Explorer. The game allows you to experience different, famous liminal space environments based on the original Backrooms lore, all in a retro PlayStation style look. There are several secrets to discover, and achievements to unlock, including a secret level. The first level (Level 0) is vast, and you can tell a lot of thought was put into it by the developer. Definitely give this indie gem a try, you won't be disappointed. Many thanks again to Compact for allowing me to officially playtest all throughout the development.
Genuinely my favorite backrooms game I've played do far. great levels with a unique art style, and the amount of attention to detail this game has is amazing, I'm honestly disappointed that this game has less than ten reviews with the amount of effort put into this. Very worth the price.
i like how walking is at an actually reasonable pace and not forced to indefinitely hold down shift just to get anywhere
