I might be in love with this game and need to know more about Limb. Can't wait for more story!!! This game was so chilling when night falls. Edit: There is way more than meets the eye with this game and really challenges you to think creatively. Pains me to give a negative review to it, as I enjoy most of it, but, the lack of a an option to remove head motion, makes this game drop from an 10 out of 10 to a 3. Its a shame, that in this day and age, devs have to be constantly reminded that some effects, like head bob or camera shake can make people seriously ill. And while that still happens Ill start to give a negative review to any game that doesn't give option to remove those effects. (I'll change my review if and when this option is added.)
A nice game with a Found Footage vibe, with puzzle mechanisms, survival gameplay, cool filters; and unerving easter eggs. There are only three points that are quiet disappointing: Too much bugs and very little gameplay. The hunger and thirst bar doesn't work, and after you sleep, the inventory is unable to use; the game is not worth the price compared to other games in the similar genre like Dreamcore and The Classrooms; and last of all, almost no dev feedback or updates, like not adding a head-bobbing setting, which seems like the camera is swinging. Unless you want a multi-hour torture of almost no clue of what to do, DO NOT play this.
LIMB: Origins is a science-fiction horror adventure developed and published by Bootur Games. Built around the concept of exploration, survival, and mystery, the game transports players into a strange parallel dimension known as LIMB. What begins as a scientific mission quickly turns into a desperate struggle for answers when an entire research expedition disappears without a trace. Trapped in this unfamiliar world after the transportation system fails, players are left to uncover the truth behind the vanished team while searching for a way back home. The narrative setup immediately creates a sense of isolation and intrigue, providing a strong foundation for a story-driven survival experience. The game's greatest strength lies in its atmosphere. LIMB is portrayed as a bleak and unsettling dimension that feels detached from reality, with unusual landscapes and a persistent feeling of uncertainty. The visual design embraces a muted aesthetic that reinforces the game's mysterious tone, making every journey into the unknown feel tense and unpredictable. Rather than relying solely on sudden scares, the game focuses on psychological discomfort, using environmental storytelling and loneliness to maintain suspense. This approach creates a slow-burning horror experience that rewards patience and curiosity. Exploration plays a central role throughout the adventure. While players are given a clear long-term objective, the world encourages wandering beyond the main path. Hidden locations, abandoned facilities, and scattered clues provide opportunities to learn more about the dimension and the fate of those who came before. The semi-open structure gives players freedom to investigate at their own pace, making discoveries feel earned rather than scripted. Every new area contributes additional pieces to the overall mystery, motivating players to keep searching for answers. Survival mechanics add another layer of tension to the gameplay. Hunger, thirst, and exhaustion must be managed while navigating the dangerous environment, ensuring that players are constantly balancing exploration with basic necessities. These systems strengthen the feeling of vulnerability and make the world feel genuinely hostile. Resource gathering becomes more than a routine task because it directly supports the player's ability to continue investigating the unknown. The survival elements complement the narrative rather than distracting from it, helping immerse players in the experience of being stranded in an alien realm. Puzzle-solving and investigation are equally important components of the game. Rather than focusing heavily on combat, LIMB: Origins emphasizes observation, clue collection, and environmental interaction. Players are expected to examine their surroundings carefully and piece together fragments of information to progress. This investigative structure gives the game a thoughtful pace and helps distinguish it from more action-oriented horror titles. The mystery remains the driving force behind the experience, encouraging players to dig deeper into the secrets hidden throughout the dimension. The world itself appears designed with variety in mind, featuring different regions that each contribute unique challenges and discoveries. Combined with objectives centered around repairing equipment and uncovering lost research, the game consistently reinforces its themes of survival and exploration. The blend of science fiction concepts with horror elements creates a compelling setting that feels both familiar and strange. For players who enjoy atmospheric adventures where discovery is just as important as progression, the game's design philosophy is likely to be appealing. As an Early Access project, LIMB: Origins still carries the expectations and limitations often associated with ongoing development. Some players may encounter rough edges or areas that feel incomplete, but the underlying ideas show considerable promise. The combination of immersive world-building, survival mechanics, investigation, and psychological horror demonstrates a clear creative vision from the developer. Overall, LIMB: Origins offers an intriguing journey into a mysterious parallel world filled with unanswered questions and hidden dangers. Its emphasis on atmosphere, exploration, and storytelling creates a memorable experience that stands out more through mood and mystery than traditional horror action. While it may still be evolving, the game presents a strong foundation for fans of science-fiction horror and survival adventures who appreciate uncovering secrets at their own pace. Rating: 5/10
