About

Lightning Katana is a fast-paced action FPS with hype parries, and even hyper combos inspired by the likes of Hotline Miami, Doom Classic, Katana Zero, and Devil May Cry.
Slash, Parry, Shoot and Dodge Roll your way through the Neo-Nippon Yakuza to avenge your pet Dogsuke and take on the top brass and baddest hit squad in all of Neo Nippon, the Ryujin Ichizoku!
Featuring:
Always be moving with quick dodge rolls and perfect parries to slash your way through the Neo-Yakuza stronghold. Hesitation can mean death, and you go down almost as fast as your enemies, so be careful as a well placed parry is the only way to recover health.
Defeat empowered enemies to temporarily gain their abilities. Shoot a powerful lightning bolt that fries anything in its path, or ride the winds of Fujin to slice through any yakuza that stand in your way.
Chain together kills to earn S, SS and P ranks in each level and earn Schmunny to buy new levels, or try your hand at Gauntlet Mode to earn Bones for some decorations in the Hub.
Each level is hand-crafted with a different mechanic or idea in mind, be it slicing through as fast as you can with an array of well timed abilities, or kicking molotovs into your enemies' faces. See if you can master them all for the illustrious P-Rank!

The fast attacking machanics are gripping in a way that you'll find yourself striving to increase the combo every time you see an enemy, when the dodging, slicing, deflecting bullets and using the powers become so appealing. Certainly an amusing game. I can definitely say that It was a pleasure working in Lightning Katana.
Overall fun with catchy music. Fingers guns were a funny touch!
Short review: a nice, very compact (and very short) experience, where fast-paced combat rules and story is badass non-sensical as they come! Worth a try!
I've played through around 40 FPS games ranging from big AAA games to solo dev games and I can confidentially say that this is one of the better ones. The sword combat is genuinely some of the best I've seen in fast paced first person game, being satisfying and fun. The enemies variety is pretty good and tearing through enemies doesn't feel too easy, the difficulty is just right. Overall it just brings many new ideas to the table and executes them well enough to make you want to keep playing. Out of the past 10 FPS games I've played, this is easily the best one.
The game’s a blast! Fast-paced, fun, and mixes retro graphics with smooth modern gameplay. The combos and controls feel great, and the animations have a fun, playful vibe. It's challenging but rewarding, with tons of replay value as you go for better scores. The tutorial is solid, and the soundtrack and quirky characters, like the dog shopkeeper, add to the charm. Overall, it's addictive and super enjoyable!
A Amazing game, very good/smooth controls, vibrant visuals and extremely well balanced in teaching you the progressing mechanics. My only complaint would be this game is about a hour and a half long, there is a endless/arcade mode but still a very fun time to be had. Better then the shadow warrior trilogy! Fast-paced games and that leaves you striving for a perfect score! I found myself replaying levels over and over again without realizing how much time had passed by because each level was full of action. If you like the idea of a first-person Hotline Miami with finger guns, a sword, and a cute dog that sells you things, this game is for you!
