Not really sure what I can say this game is simple fun and addictive. It's relaxing yet super challenging at the same time. If you enjoy relaxing fun cosy games this is defo one I would recommend Also the Devs are really quite something else they respond fast to any questions I have had and genuinely care and listen to my thoughts on the game. Also huge plus it didn't blow my ear drums when starting it's so rare now a days I can't help but praise a company when they do that !! d
Fun & challenging with high replayability. The beautiful music with the pretty lights gives this game a relaxing vibe while also retaining that drive that makes you want to keep playing to get a better highscore. While the game is pretty straight forward, each round feels new and different with random power-ups that it's still satisfying to play and it doesn't get boring. With visually pleasing design and equally pleasing music and the low pricetag - this game is a steal. Definitely worth getting.
Light kin starts as a tiny ember but slowly burns brighter the longer you play and the more special abilities you discover. Suddenly the "one more game" for personal reasons changes into a "gotta get that highscore" level of motivation. Cue the fireworks!!
As a sound engineer and composer for this game, I am obviously biased, but I still like it! Fun and challenging, music ain't bad either.
Movement: movement is great, pretty sweet actually! I'm in love with the way the flames move around! ^^ Bursting: Its decent but a bit very risky in most situations, at this point I stopped using it at endgame stages and rarely use it overall, don't get me wrong its a good mechanic but it mostly situational. Twin flame boys: I love em, great endgame life saver. Shield: 2nd best ability in the game, it gives more freedom for actions you can take and allows you to make risky plays :D Magnet ability: Its a bit of a 2 sided blade, on one hand it can save you big time but it can also kill you, when it ends embers still fly your way and sometimes kill you instantly :,) Inf burst: This is basically a bit broken, the way it works rn allows you to get millions of points in a few seconds (this is how i got over 4mil in my last run). Its extremely good. Score multiplier booster: Its a very good ability, especially when your good at dodging and using a slower ember, it rewards you for surviving and overall its good! Music: music is fire, its so damm good! For the rest the game is mostly skill based with a lil bit of luck elements, as long as your reaction speed is good you can get good scores ^^
extremely lacking in polish. movement speed is static as long as you even remotely move the mouse in any given direction and the overall gameplay loop is something i probably wouldve come up with in my teenage game dev days on gamemaker once you collect a bunch of fire the game will eventually just brutally punish you for any messing up by tossing you back into the game with so much static movement speed you absolutely will run into more stuff and lose 1-2 more lives in the process, if it doesnt immediately lead to a game over this is not an arcade game i would feel inclined to grind at any given day
Dit is echt een ontspannen game. Dit is een game die je tussendoor kan spelen. Mocht je toch competitief zijn, is er een leaderboard en highscore systeem. Echt een aanrader en belgisch.
Perfect for passing some time! Grab your Steam Deck and sore through the skies as your very own ember, al while collecting the same of your colour and dodging the other embers.
I really enjoy this game. It's very fun to hop in for a little bit and play a few times. It's also nice that there is a colorblind mode since I had a hard time telling the difference between some of the colors. The little embers are fun to look at with their flowy tails. The visuals in combination with the great music makes it a very nice experience. My favorite powerup is definitly scorching since it feels so cool to just see all the embers get sucked in at the same time!
It's a very fun and addictive game to play in my free time. The devs tend to listen to their community and actively take feedback given by the players to better the experience for everyone involved.
