I am a complete newbie. I want to learn to fly FPV drones. I watched hours of videos, bought the recommended starter gear and this game. Fired it up, configured the controller. Awesome! Lets do this! 1 hr into the sim; Tried the tutorial. "Wow. I suck". Watched more videos. 2 hrs into the sim; "Oh that's a controlled altitude and speed straight line! Now let's try some truns....Wow I really do suck!". More videos..... 4 hrs into the sim; "I am getting this! Look, nice, clean corners....oh no, I am upside down again." 8 hrs into the sim; "I think I can do this! At least circles ..... right?" Can't wait any longer! Let's try the real deal! Bind all the gear. Charge a couple extra batteries. Set up the drone in the kitchen, lots of room.... right? A couple small hops and .... airborne, right into a wall. Go outside and set up the drone on the deck and off we go! Small controlled flight down into the yard. Landing was rough. "I need more room". Go to the farm. Set everything up and ...... "I am flying ..... I'm f*&king doing it!" 3 batteries, 12 mins of flight and only 2 crash landings on the first 2 landing attempts. Nailed the last landing ... kinda. Get back home, start charging batteries and fire up this amazing simulator. Let's see what another 10, 20, 50+ hours will do to the skills. Highly recommended.

Great for getting the fundamentals down, especially with Josh Bardwell video series on beginner FPV.

Even if you don't plan on getting a drone this game is AWESOME! Super addictive with difficult race maps once you get good. All you need is a controller, though you might need to change some settings before getting started.
