是这个作者一直以来的风格,大量的数据检测和剧情走向。不过这一部的数据检测有点太多了,前期如果没有做好规划后面就会全部失败
In this game, the choices you have are numerous. For example, in a certain part of the game, when you've romanced someone, you have the choice to inform him/her that you killed their parents. Surprising, isn't it? I know it doesn't really make you think but it does make you wonder if they should know the truth or not. Be aware that money is everything here. Lack of money would doom you. Unless you're totally gunning for the hobo ending, in which case, by all means, do it. Aside from that, I would recommend the game. Especially if you like other CYOA games.

Name: Loretta Leoni Criminal Alias: The Beast Relationship status: Married with Children Criminal affiliations: The Romano family Origins: Grew up in a poor near destitute neighborhood in New Daria to welfare parents. Confirmed Criminal History: At age 13, surveillance video shows Mrs. Leoni stealing candy bars at local neighborhood market and assaulting Elderly shopkeeper who had attempted to bar the door in getaway attempt. During her High school years Mrs. Leoni was charged with mugging people for money in the park after dark. When asked by the Judge why she would do such a thing, Mrs. Leoni says she wanted to go the store with cash instead of food stamps for once. Records then go on to state she attempts to go into a spiel about being another victim of the socialist structure of New Daria before she is dragged away by Officers. The Judge being sympathetic to Mrs. Leoni's plight excuses her from juvenile and instead puts her on a lengthy probation. Suspected Criminal History as a Romano associate: The Beast is suspected of smashing a store owners face into a cash register 16 times in broad daylight in front of 2 dozen people for failing to acknowledge a made man who had come to collect protection money in The Beast presence. The Beast is suspected of beating a local petty drug dealer half to death for selling in Romano territory without a permit under the guise of it being a "Free Country". The Beast and The Carrot are suspected of kicking down the door of an A list movie producer Walter Fiano in the middle of the night and dragging him up three flights of stairs in his home only to throw him back down again multiple times until he agreed to cast a friend of the Romano family as the leading star in his next production. The Beast is suspected of standing outside the home and workplace of Sunshine enterprises CEO, Vicky Thymes, for a whole week with a metal baseball bat in one hand and a Pickett sign in the other reading "The union deserves fair wages, don't you agree?" The Beast and her husband Tyler are suspected of savagely beating two college students to a pulp in an incident involving their young 5 year old daughter Celeste accidentally catching a football thrown by one of the students with her face during a family outing. Accounts say as the student was recovering the football, he congratulated little Celeste with a "Nice Catch", prompting the Beast to turn the young mans face into a Picasso painting while her already drunk & violent husband grabbed & beat the second lad for having no future as a wide receiver for the New Daria Wizards. Closing notes: The Beast is an extremely violent and Sociopathic individual. Agents are advised not to engage or attempt to detain this monster or her crew with no less than a full platoon and a hope in their heart that their fellow officers aren't already on the Beast payroll. If Agents find themselves at the Beast mercy, they are expected to attempt to flee so that they may buy enough time to hide their recording device in an undisclosed location and when captured, roll into a fetal position and pray for a quick end. For no man, devil or god escapes the violent corrupt reach of New Darias Beast.
This was actually a really good story. I loved the overall development throughout. I will say though that the ending felt very rushed. I would give this a 9/10.
While not "100% not recommended" (it's more like a meh), after several playthroughs I feel like the cons of this game outweighs the pros. The story is a-ok, I was expecting a stereotypical, noir 20s-40s setting but the story is somehow definitely taking place in the present, which was a little dissapointing (and felt out of place). Another thing I didn't quite like was the game's writing. It's kind of odd, since it's not directed at you, that is, the story is being told as if a third person is narrating it to you, not as if you (the player) are the protagonist of it. My last (and biggest) complain with the game, though, is that it just assumes a lot of things than shouldn't be assumed, like (this is not really a spoiler, it's more like a warning, but...)
if you get married into a heterosexual relationship you (or your wife) will get pregnant and have at least one child, no matter if you want it or not. This is an example of something that is painfully assumed and shouldn't, since it's pretty obvious that not all married couples want to have children.
And depending on who you are roleplaying it can greatly affect immersion, like it happened to me. Given that these type of games' key (and only) mechanic is choosing "your own path" something like this is a pretty big flaw and breaks immersion. Writers of these types of games should always try to take for granted as little as possible, I know this is not always a viable option, but in an example like the above it's obvious this basic principle was not taken into consideration. Always ask the player what he/she wants to do.
Great game! Only downside is that it was to short, as I would have liked several more hours of gameplay. In fact I played in all the way thru a 2nd time the day I bought it! Can only hope for a sequel!
[strike]果然最喜欢的还是Informant线,结局都好带感,我就是约瑟夫·皮斯通再世![/strike]
和这个作者其他的作品风格差不多(Life of a Wizard,The Lost Heir三部曲等)。

so heres the problem the person who wrote this clearly went to the bother of learning what a mob story includes , capos ,families protection rackets etc ....... why would you include female mobsters ? i mean a lady beating up two mobsters with a pipe ? its just pandering to everything the genre is not i wouldnt recommend this tbh , its not thats its text based its that its just woke
Great Interactive game. There are plenty of roads to go and the games makes it really easy to guide you to reach the different ways of beating the game. It usually says what skill you require to do certain stuff which helps Average story but it works. Worth 2$ anyway
In my opinion one of the best choice of games titles that they themselves did not make. The game is well written, more gamey than other titles and i felt my choices mattered which has been lacking in some of their titles. After i completed the game the first time i went for a second go right after, somnething i havent done with many of their titles. I have no complaints with this one folks, i highly reccomend if you like these sort of games to pick it up. Maybe on sale, i dont really like how they have been pricing things recently.
