Reviews
When I bought this game, there was no reviews on it. I like these kind of casual Rogue-Like games that are just numbers going up, essentially. This game looked like it could be good. The short of my review would be "If you like numbers going up - this game ain't bad, but it does have some issues." The good: Numbers go up. It's clearly a project made for fun. There's actually some level of strategetic considerations to make per run. It's not just buy the thing that makes sense, the enemy actually builds it's build according to how you attack prior. I'm sure if you're a game-breaker you'd find a way to manipulate this system to either always give you favorable (enemy) builds, or make it as hard as possible on yourself. There's a lot of complexity to the game, which is a good and bad thing here. The bad: There's NO Explanation to ANYTHING - What does Overcharge do, what does Infuse do, what does the symbols mean (I THINK t hey mean element of that type health, but what does that mean?). The GUI is kind of garbage. It's a very very simple GUI, which is fine for the most part but it does actually make the game a bit less enjoyable with how stiff the menus feel. There's not much liveliness in the GUI, you barely even feel any engagement. They do have some effect (typically button gets darker) when you click something but it's all so bland. The symbols used are also not very pretty - I get that it's t he developer's own art skills and I feel bad for complaining about this part, but they are pretty meh. I'm not saying I could draw better or make anything that looks better, but this is definitely an area for improvement. The colors are too muted and the game is too damn dark. You can BARELY see the enemy character - and I don't complain about dark games, I actually like them. But, in this case the darkness doesn't do anything. The game is very complex, there's a lot of things that you can do, but no explanation on what they are how to do it, or that it's even a thing. Listed Details: The game has neat mechanics The game is complex. The Graphics are dull - too dark There's no explanation of the systems. The GUI is minimal at best. I actually think if the developer worked on this aspect the game would be far more appealing to people. The game has some imbalance. (I didn't mention this) The Game can be incredibly slow at times - depending on the build - but that actually retracts from the enjoyment I had during the game. I recommend this game, because you should support small developers. This game has potential, and I think that it's actually a sign that this developer should be supported. As, I believe this game with some further effort from the developer can actually be polished in a way that would make the game succesful. However, I believe it would be more wise for the developer to work on another game (maybe a sequel) with better UI and stuff. If I could request anything from the developer it would b e to introduce Toolboxes or some form of description for everything in the game - seriously what does Infuse do?
