Legacy of Kain: Ascendance

Currently in progress but so far i've found it enjoyable, potentially a little bit on the easy side by this is more than made up for with some fantastic voice acting and story beats, has been particularly interesting to play as someone who only played a tiny section of the OG Legacy of Kain

Ultimately, the story, character, music and essential concept are good. A worthy addition to the Legacy of Kain game series overall. The ONE thing I would adjure the creators to do for any future games though is please make it 3D like the Soul Reaver masterpieces up to Defiance. For all the good qualities of the game its the gameplay I struggled with the most, especially flying. Something I never struggled with the same way in the 3D games.

Ignore the review-bombing. I'm enjoying it and I'm always right. 7 out of 10. It plays differently from other Legacy of Kains, not just from being 2D. More a jumpy hack and slash. Normal mode's quite hard - somewhere between the old Castlevanias and a soulslike. I'm finding it challenging but fun. Keep jumping and dodging in the second level and you will get through it. Very lore heavy and dialogue heavy series so I mostly wanted that going in. It inserts and changes things, which is nothing new; you could see it as a spinoff. If you're considering this, play at least Soul Reaver 1 and 2 and Defiance beforehand, as it's sort of in chronological order and assumes you know all the series' twists. The returning voice actors do a good job, obviously, and it was great to hear for an old fan. You often play as a new character who hates everyone else involved. This is good, and fits with the rest of the series. The dialogue is a bit on the nose with everything, and very Thou Shalt Listeneth, but it's dealing with a big backlog of lore and the other games were similar. This one has crackers like "discover the wellspring in me", while the original game had crackers like "I'll hack you from crotch to gizzard and feed the rest to your brides" and "but I AM dead". (Seeing some rumours that some text was AI generated??)

It was ok. Short. Ended open. I don't think it deserves as much hate as it got, it was ok. I think if it was longer and probably stood more on it's own vs trying to tie in so much to things from the past it would have been better. This game really is only for people that have played all the other ones.

até que eu curti... não é nenhuma obra prima como os jogos antigos, mas acredito que esse game ressignifica muitos pontos-chave da franquia e com maior cuidado, Aleleth pode vir a se tornar uma personagem bem mais interessante do que foi apresentada aqui. Legacy of Kain Ascendance é um game com muitas falhas, mas com bastante potencial para melhoria. Vale a pena como um bom desconto.

I love this series, game is fun, very nice soundtrack, I wouldn't try this game without a controller, i found it very entertaining and cool story with some new characters that could lead up to a newer game. reminds me of an old sega genesis game the way the graphics are.

Жаль нет нейтральной оценки, но поскольку определенное удовольствие я получил - сделаем положительную оценку. А теперь об игре: касательно лора - это очередной реткон, шитый белыми нитками (впрочем, как и все ретконы в этой великой серии), который якобы затыкает дыры в сюжете. Но... На эти дыры честно говоря никто и не обращал внимания, кроме уж совсем отбитых поклонников. Так что нужно ли это было? Вопрос открытый. Приносит ли игра что-то новое в лор? Да! ВОПРОСЫ! Чертовы вопросы и никаких ответов! Ответы к слову, возможно мы никогда и не получим, потому что полноценная новая часть даже не анонсирована. Но как знать... как знать... В остальном сюжет мчит галопом и финиширует прямо тогда, когда ты... да ладно, ожидаешь. Я так и знал, что не дадут поиграть за Разиэлья - Похитителя. И раз уж зашла речь про поиграть... А что по геймплею? Да ничего особенного. Бодро да забавно, особенно с джойстиком. Уровни за вампира Разиэля несколько душноваты, но тут видимо под стать характеру Разьки. Но особых откровений ждать не стоит, ну это просто ретро экшн. Таких на сегу было мильен. Поэтому мой вердикт - если вы не отбитый поклонник LOK, а так сказать умеренный любитель - то по скидке берите смело. Средний проект на вечерок, скрасит пару часиков. Всем остальным же - лучше даже не пробовать. Оно вам не сдалось. Чесслово.

Очень простенькое приключение на несколько часов, уровня игр Sega megadrive, но с любимыми персонажами и классным сюжетом. Пара 3D вставок были неожиданны, но прикольными. Рисованная часть повествования очень приятная. Элалет персонаж с хорошей мотивацией и интересной историей, нарисована красиво, а что очень приятно - не Мэри Сью у которой все выходит. С каноном обошлись бережно, только, когда Разиэля в колодец душ сбрасывали у Каина шрама от вырванного сердца быть еще не должно, по-моему. В общем и целом залипательно.
