Cool game, very cute graphics, sound, music. Nice way to practice your Hiragana, Kana, Kanji in a stress-free way!
i'm using it and its helping me a lot get started and its really encouraging when i get right stuff. its a fun cute game that makes time fly while learning I've been playing like an half an hour a day and i highly recommend for beginners that struggle to figure out how to get started or just cant stick to flash cards and text books
Great for really drilling the characters in your head. Speed reading is very useful for reading and learning kanji from furigana.
great way to practice your basics! way better than finding a quizlet
This is a really fun little game for learning. However for me it's only really useful for reinforcing the characters I already know. When I tried using it to learn the characters I didn't know yet they were always off screen before I had time to think about what they were, even on the lowest speed, leading to me getting none and learning nothing. Being able to slow the belt down ALOT to actually have time to think about the characters you aren't sure of would help with actually learning new ones, instead of just reinforcing the ones you already know. Having a mode where they come one at a time and say what they are for you to type them would be much MUCH better for learning that just having to stare at a dictionary for 10 mins before you even press play. Just anything other than "stare at the dictionary to learn them, then play". Also, please let it remember which ones I have selected when going into a level. Having to re-select the ones I'm learning every time I click play is not fun. Despite all that I still think it's a very useful tool for reinforcement learning, but as it is not THAT good for learning new characters from not knowing anything at all. TLDR: It's a great game for reinforcing characters that you already know and want to get faster at recognising, but falls short of being a useful tool for learning things from scratch.
Do not buy just to learn Japanese your better of using Duolingo to learn Japanese then play this game.
it's alright. honestly, it's not really worth the money. if you wanna practice your kana, i'm sure there's a better, cheaper/free app you can choose that'll help more than this.
