A relaxing, but challenging 3D game with low poly visuals and engaging music, where you take control of a small leaf, which flies in the direction that the wind blows, collecting items scattered around the scenary to help a young writer finish her book.

It's a Flower clone of sorts. Expected it to be before I bought it though. Except this time instead of flower petals, it's a single leaf. Your aim in this game is to go around collecting glowing square thingies in order to make up a poem in each level. Kinda expected something MORE akin to Flower, but I'll take it. Still a decently chill game to play. The OST is also nice. That SAID however, after you finish the first 6 levels, to play more of the game, you need do those 6 levels AGAIN but without touching anything. Just feels more like a chore than anything. I gave up at the "repeated" third level, because the wind is just ridiculous and works against you and it's annoying (and the controls don't help either, since they aren't the most fluid thing ever (though not "bad" either)). No offense, but it just takes away from the "relaxing" factor and feels like forced replayability. I'm not a fan of that. Will either push myself to see the rest of the game at some point soon or refund the game, haven't really decided yet. But yeah, I'm very in the middle with this one tbh. Edit in response to dev's response: What exactly did you change out of curiosity? Not really seeing much if anything. Also, just a quick thing from me, but I personally think it'd be better to take out the "tips" screen and the "start of poem" sequence when restarting a level, since it'd make things feel less tedious that way. Not trying to be a d**k, so I apologise if I sound like one; just trying to give some constructive criticism.
I'm not really sure if "Leaf on Wind" is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. "Leaf on Wind" is a casual game where you fly around low poly (probably asset flipped) environments and run through hotspots to "collect" them. Collect enough and then return to the start point and you get to read a badly written poem. Truly pushing the envelope when it comes to game design. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying sound/background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop it using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? "Leaf on Wind" is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Excelente! Um jogo relaxante, com uma linda história, que me fez pensar em pedir aos desenvolvedores uma trilogia do jogo. Parabéns, desenvolvedor (es) !!!
This game is for anyone who wants a relax and calm moments. The game is very polished and have a good feeling. Nice work! I hope to see more games :D
A relaxing game though not without its challenges. The scenery helps create a cathartic atmosphere while you breeze about piecing together some pretty poetry. Good for a casual gamer to chill out to. Meu Deus que jogo lindo!! Eu amei
