Lazy Kickers

I know it's only $3 but the pacing is way too slow and boring.

I like the premise of Lazy Kickers, but it becomes repetitive after just a single won game. The core loop consists of growing balls from plants, shooting them into the goal to earn coins, and then repeatedly buying the same upgrade that doubles your income. Since you have to face an opponent every five upgrades, you are constantly pulled out of any idle progression. Even if you left the game running forever, you would not gain more than you would after 15 minutes of active play. Ultimately, you are stuck endlessly repeating the same steps without meaningful progression or variety.

A perfect little chaotic idle game. Widget mode is a revelation. The recently added enemy breakdown information has been a fantastic update

Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Lazy Kickers, with caveats: [i] This is a small game designed to have silly fun with absurd situations happening on a chaotic screen. Don't expect deep incremental mechanics, you'd be disappointed cause it's pretty slow and linear. [/i] + Having played McPixel from the same dev, I knew that the potential for absurd humor was peak, and that was indeed the case. + Game being slow, it's really one to play idle, and there's a great widget feature to do this! + You get multiple cheat codes once you win the game. Great feature allowing you to play the game your own way and skip the boring parts! - Win multiple matches to win a league. Win a league to get a new type of player, which is the only change of gameplay you will get during the whole game. It's slow. Really slow. - In theory, you can assign roles to your players to be more efficient. In practice, you only care about the score multiplier upgrade and wait till you win the match. i played the demo earlier. broke the browser tab trying to manually save the chaos. i got the full thing, and I am inclined to keep the game running for the foreseeable future. this is a cry for help.

Definitely one the best idlers I played. Has everything I would want from a game like this, great achievements as well! It runs really well while sitting at a size of 33mb after a row of really quick updates after release. Much love <3
