I get wanting to make an immersive environment and they did do a pretty good job at that, but all the time wasters get old really fast. Also is there really a need to make everything so obtuse?
The linked video includes reviews of 10 indie games. The segment on Last Call BBS recommends the game, and discusses its unusual relationship to the concepts of ‘game’ and ‘art.’
[. . .] Zachtronics is so unique and so interesting, and they are one of the best examples of what you lose if you don't play indie games. I recommend it!
Lovely little game
perfect farewell letter
Come hang out in a land of minigames that feel like an alternate reality version of my youth, growing up with the Amiga and BBSes and the world before the internet.
The UI is confusing. When I open the game, I see four options: “System,” “Solitaire,” “Handymate,” and “Drive 0,” but none of them make sense. Clicking around doesn’t lead to anything, and it’s completely unclear what I’m supposed to do. I tried a few times to figure it out, but nothing became clearer. I ended up closing the game and uninstalling it.
A lot of these games are really fun, 20th Century Food Court is definitely my favorite. It's kind of a cool way to learn about logic functions and control loops.

Between these 8 mini games, 20th Century Food Court was my favorite, After that Dungeon puzzle was awesome. Worst one was Chipwizard because of bad tutorial and no easy to hard order level. Amazing soundtrack btw The only thing I complain about is I wish 20th Century game had a workshop or level editor same as some other mini games in this game (they'll be unlocked once u finish all levels) Took me 65 hours to 100%
