It had potential, but now it's abandoned and incomplete.

Hasn't been updated in a long time and missing some key species (ex. bamboo mentions pandas eventually being added to the game, but there still aren't any) but very fun and the game mechanics are good.

The most cozy game I've ever experianced! I was following development of this game from the beggining to release on dev's Youtube channel. His videos are so bright, relaxed a positive, that game had no chance to became different. I love-love-love this game! Please follow dev's YT channel, support him!

Its a super peaceful sandbox game that doesn't frustrate you with clunky systems and growth trees that make no sense. The game has its systems described and how to interact with them. The systems are awesome, i love my fish particularly. The artstyle does wonders for this game as well. It truly makes this game stand out in the face of all the others and makes it just that much better. Its a 10/10 game and something id recommend you play for a few hours if youre ever down or stressed.

I can see the vision in this game. However, it has lots of logical flaws and questionable design choices. Like the missing options for time speed, constant back and forth in the UI to get infos and nonsensical requirements for evolution (e.g. wild mint needs 3 rabbits to evolve into a carrot, but rabbits need carrots as a hard requirement to satisfy their habitat needs). Also there is no world editor and entities do not spread on their own unless placed. TL;DR, lots of small things make the game a lot less enjoyable than it could've been.

Dealing with really bad nausea right now, needed something calm and easy to play to distract myself. This works wonders if you want to calm down and take your mind off things for a bit.

this is an incredible game to play while baked

Played the scenario, unlocked everything, then made my own paradise. Rinse, repeat.

I've had Equilinox sitting in my library collecting dust for a few years so I finally decided to try it out. And honestly it's a very fun game for what it's offering. There isn't that much content and I was able to get through everything relatively quickly (bit of a learning curve) but it was still fun. The only issue is that there aren't very many animals and the variety fizzles out quick. The game is no longer in active development so there's no hope of anything new being added. Regardless, it's still fun and is relatively cheap on sale usually going under five dollars. If you're looking for a game where you get to create an ecosystem this is really the best you can get on Steam.

It's basically a city builder game where you build ecosystems. Takes around 7 hours to complete. The pacing is really well done, until the last few plants and animals. I wish the game encouraged bigger habitats, and that researching new plants and animals awarded some points.
