I know this is a student game and normally I wouldn't be so harsh but wow, this is bad. Extremely bad. The writing and voice acting do not convey an apocalyptic tone at all. Just a boring, arduous slog of a game. I couldn't finish it.
An amazing game with a great atmosphere. It makes you think about what would you do if you were in the same situation that D-Jay is. I like the contrast between the end of the world and D-Jay's personality, I actually can see his actions been made by people who finds themselves in the same situation as him. Not everyone reacts the same in a stressful and life-challenging setting. That make the game more interesting in my opinion. The voice acting could be better, but overall the game is good quality considering that it's free.
I don't feel like this game have anything substantial meaning. Maybe it's just not my type, maybe it's just boring. Who knows.
I like the concept of a trapped radio host in an apocalyptic scenario, doomed to die but still manning their show. I like the concept of making collages to de-stress between calls, but if you picked up all of the papers & art on your first time out of the chair, you'll probably finish making a collage in the first two calls. The writing & voice acting doesn't really reflect the severity of the setting, the text-box/subtitles are occasionally inaccurate to what the character is actually saying, & the game can be a little buggy. Still, it's free & I think it's charming despite its flaws.
I couldn't finish the game. The voice acting isn't terrible but no where near well produced to the point that it ripped me out of the game. Dialogue is okay, but the voice acting certainly is not helping. Has great potential, but I couldn't sit through it.
as far as I can tell, the entire point of this *game* is to force you to listen to indie music that's just someone singing over acoustic guitar. I couldn't find any way to turn it off. I did not enjoy the music, and none of the "gameplay" felt necessary or important to me.
The game completely and utterly fails at creating an atmosphere, vibe, mood, feeling or anything else that would suggest it is literally the end of the world. You hear people talk about it, you see some of it, but still it is utterly unconvincing. The voice acting is horrifically bad and equally unconvincing as everything else, and so is the writing... The writing is cringe and unnatural, people don't talk like that. The voice actors are entirely disconnected from the situation, they take so.... damn.... LONG to say a short sentence. There are awkward pauses constantly, it's just weird and off-putting. You can't skip or fast-forward any dialogue. The protagonist talks as if he was told that this was a satirical play, but it's not, so why does he talk like that? The entire game kind of went out of sync for me nearing the end of my 22 minute nightmare, I could pick choices of what to say next and talk over other characters and myself because the dialogue wasn't actually finished, that was slightly amusing, then I ALT+F4'd. In conclusion the game is thoroughly unconvincing, the writing is bad, the voice acting & direction is awful and it is dreadfully slow & boring. I advice you to not waste your time. Play this only if you'd like to test your own patience for whatever reason. It's an interesting concept and definitely worth your time for a free game. Something outside the box.
